Are you renewing your AP this year?

Anyone else just kind of...let down by how everyone is now getting a Annual Pass to Disneyland because it sold out? i am not trying to be rude, but they are way to reasonably priced, and it creates heavy crowds at the resort, even in the off season now. Anyone sick of it??

This is my first pass in about seven years, i had one when i was 11, did not renew until this year.

Is it the cheap AP prices to blame? or that horrible Birthday promotion that i cant stand?

Why cant they hike up AP prices, and lower general admission? thats a good idea right?

I love seeing the birthday pins. I bring everyone I can on thier birthday. It makes the trip to Disneyland special again for everyone. There are more people having more fun there than I've seen in quite a long time. Even the castmembers seem to be enjoying it as well.

Have you seen the crowds recently? i know Disney must be making the cash, but i just feel sold out more so by the cheap AP prices.

My family has had AP's since 1999. This is the first year we decided not to renew them. The crowds are just too insane, and with two kids in tow going to the park and then dealing with large crowds, construction fences, etc is just too much.

While I agree that it's a valid concern, first we complain that the parks are too expensive and now they are too cheap...

For the first time we are asking ourselves if we want to renew. Our APs don't expire until October, so we'll see how the crowds are after the 2-fer ends.

Certainly the much larger and constant crowds have had a negative impact on our enjoyment of the Parks.

There is a reason that Disneyland is doing well during this recession but Disney World is not - Passholders. Part of Disney's strategy was to bring in the locals to fill in the gap left by lower long distance travel. And it has worked. Yes, the parks are crowded, but it is keeping Disneyland in business. I'd say that Disney Marketing has struck gold with the monthly payments for Annual Passes - At least for now.

This is the first year I am thinking of not renewing but not due to crowds but more the economy and the fact I have hardly been to the park since I renewed last year.

I think the rise in APs is due to the the payment plans they offer now. I've had a SoCal Select, then a SoCal and just this year I went for a Premium. I'll definitely be renewing next January.
