Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker IV

Awesome!
One thing i am very curous about is on the loop circle. From the looks of it, it seems like it might just be paint/graphics rather than going to be 3d like it looks like on the model.
Anyone feel the same way or do you think they're doing the spikes for some other reason?

However, I doubt they'd put it on the map (with it being a very prominent park landmark) if it weren't opening soon.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker IV

Those maps were most likely printed, cut and folded by the time the change in opening happened. The cost of destroying several thousands of maps then going back and fixing the artwork priting and bindery would be wasteful at a time when budgets are being watched very carefully.

They probably felt it was better to just leave it as is since its only a few more weeks.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker IV

Wow, another one already!! I'm confident will have ten of these trackers under our belt by next year. Good job, y'all!!

Anyways, I was bored, so I decided to take one of Darkbeer's images of the former Sun Wheel (it's from yesterday) and fill in the parts that will encompass the background of Mickey's head (it was easy since the ear supports have been already attached to the wheel); I just outlined and filled in with black. I think the photo offers a pretty good idea of what the actual background will look like in the quickly approaching near future. Enjoy! (Mind you, it's not perfect, but I wanted to share!)

Well, those power lines are AC, plus the birds aren't grounded. I'm thinking we put a ground wire in the nose and then run DC power straight through that nose

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker IV

A quick question: Is Mickey's face going to be 3D or flat?

I know that this topic was being discussed in the former tracker. I guess we will know for sure in a few short weeks!

This is post #15 - which is already .75% of the way to 2000 and the need for Project Tracker V!

Anyway, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is supposed to close for refurbishment on April 27. Doesn't that sound like a good time to put walls up around Golden Dreams and begin demolition?
