Buses now in use!

I believe that the original idea was that no transportation would be provided to those forced to park at GardenWalk or Pumba.

As of tonight, Disney had chartered buses to shuttle people between these locations. There were lots of them. They drop off/ pick up at the bus station near the Lion King Tram (if you're looking at it from Harbor, its the middle peninsula).

I'm not sure if Buzz will get the privelege of these busses but we'll soon find out.

Re: Buses now in use!

I parked in there last Sunday, and I must say they had lots of busses. I got parked quickly, I got on a bus quickly, and I made it to the park quickly.

In all honesty, the way they had it set up, I think this is now the best parking option in the entire resort!

The busses were originally ONLY for Buzz/Pongo.

Yup.

Ok, lots for Day Parking at the DLR...

M&F Parking Structure (Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy and Chip & Dale) & Pinocchio
Timon
Pumbaa
Simba
Zazu
Buzz Lightyear
Pongo

GardenWalk
Anaheim Convention Center (Though I haven't seen this used in a while, so I don't know if it is still used)

DTD also has Lilo parking, but that is just their overflow.

However, Pongo is slated to be taken over by CM Parking here in the near future. And the CM lot also has a character name, just can't think of that one off the top of my head.

Re: Buses now in use!

Someone should make a map of where all the other lots are. I've been wondering where some of the other lots were.

Excellent map Autopia. I had no idea the Pongo lot even existed. Interesting how they have names from the classic cartoons, the Lion King, Toy Story, and then... 101 Dalmations.

I'm assuming all the other lots are either hotel parking or CM parking?

Re: Buses now in use!

In case anyone missed the thread on the subject, a bus chartered by Disney exploded today when an emergency shut-off valve for its propane source melted, closing Orangewood @ Harbor. No one was injured. The driver noticed something was wrong when there were flames near her feet

Re: Buses now in use!

Great work on the map Autopia, it cleared things up for me.

BTW, what is the huge parking lot (N. of Pongo) on W. Katella used for?
