Most likely a repost...BUT didn't find anything using search.... a lot of interesting footage circa 1956. Made me again miss a lot a things from Yesterland....

"In July 1956, the five-member Barstow family of Wethersfield, Connecticut, won a free trip to newly-opened Disneyland in Anaheim, California, in a nationwide contest. This 30-minute amateur documentary film tells the fabulous story of their fun-filled, dream-come-true, family travel adventure, filmed on the scene at Walt Disney's "Magic Kingdom" by Robbins Barstow.

In December 2008, "Disneyland Dream" was named to the National Film Registry by the Librarian of Congress."

Very cool to also see how things were back then.
There is also a movie called "Disneyland" that has a whole look at the place on opening day. its awesome

That was rather langthy but I managed to sit through the whole thing.

Very interesting. When the camera slides across main street and hits the castle it reminded me of every one of my Disneyland visits. And to think millions of others have seen the same exact thing, for the past 54 years. Incredible!

What always strikes me in these vintage home movies is the difference a few decades of plant growth has made to the Park.
