My Ticket Book T-SHIRT (Part 2)

Back in 2007... I decided to make a T-SHIRT proof of concept.
My Ticket Book T-SHIRT "proof of concept"

Well 2 years later, I decided to revisit the idea and do a follow-up.

Background: (simplified explanation - Disney purists please correct me as needed)
Disneyland originally was opened with a "ticket per attraction" business model. You needed to purchase a ticket to ride each attraction. A ticket book A through E developed over time and the "E" ticket became the most popular because most thrill attractions needed this particular ticket. The ticket book model ended between 1982 - 1983 in favor of 1 day passport model...

So for those folks that remember going to the Park before 1982, this may bring back memories.

    Here it is....
    My Ticket-Book t-shirt...circa 1959.
Note - This was a proof of concept and not intended for public or private sale / trade. As before.. it will be eventually destroyed.

If you were to wear it yourself, I don't think anything would be said. And it eventually would be destroyed - you can only wash a shirt so many times before the transfer printing gets unreadable.

But if you ever thought about having them professionally printed to sell them, you'd better run it past Disney Legal first. All the artwork and design of the tickets is theirs, all the trademarked names are theirs.

(There's also the Globe Ticket safety paper watermark design underneath, but that one would be simple to get clearances on in comparison... And last I checked, they are still in business.)

    Thanx for the advice Bruce.

No.. I've never considered exploring commercial sale or seeking rights clearances as I know they would not be granted by Disney or Globe. I'm just a fan...not an entrepreneur.

I was hoping Disney Marketing would have created a "John Lasseter / Tommy Bahama-esque" style shirt with ticket books all over for the 50th celebration campaign...but it didn't happen....

I've got other shirt ideas rolling around my noggin....I'll continue to share.

I think a large imprint of the "E" ticket would look cool. Disneyland really had a bunch of stuff to do back then. A lot more than I thought.

Oh man! That looks really good! If I could buy that at the parks, there's no doubt in my mind that I would!

Cool shirt! And like Bruce said...I'm sure everything is okay as long as you aren't selling them. When I used Cafepress to make a shirt with the Air Force logo...it informed me that I could make the shirt with the copyrighted logo, as long as it was for personal use. Any intention of selling the item, would be illegal.
