It just doesn't look natural coming off of the Sternwheeler.
    The dye has two purposes...

One to mask the bottom of the river, and two it prevents sunlight from hitting the bottom which prevents Algae growth.

The dye is called Aquashadow. I also use it.

So you can't see the bottom and realize it's really shallow most of the way across - all the gas lines for the Fantasmic flames, into the fountain pits, etc.

And so you can't see the "Twain Track" while riding the Mark Twain or Columbia, or the guide track for the Jungle Cruise.. It's only down three or four feet, and would easily show in clear water.

Go look at the Submarine Lagoon, it's the same basic type of track, though a lot deeper - but they have to use clear water there so you can see Nemo and Dory. Now imagine that a lot shallower, and clearly visible in the middle of a "River". Would totally break the theming.

Plus, it keeps the fish from getting a sunburn.

The question is, when in April does it open? And will Fantasmic open along with it?

Arrow ROA Refurb in 6 months.

Hey guys... well i got back today from a great trip at dland since saturday night and yesterday night i went on the mark twain and got the wheelhouse, fun by the way and first time, but the CM said that in January the river is closing for a some what big refurb on all the things that have to do w the river including rafts, canoes, and decks along it.

Did anyone else know about this...

also while up there, CM told me about the F! dragon that broke the neck piece and sounds to them they will do the alternate show... the dragon sounds cool because its more than limbs and head... will have full body having her claws on a small castle and her hanging over it breathing fire agian into the lake

    - we spotted somewhat the new crocadile as the work lights were left on in the insert, where it sat!

so yah, mainly i wanted to hear input from you guys as well on the ROA refurb.

I hate major refurbs, but it has to be done or else you'll have a park with unmodified attractions like the MK in Florida. It really sucks that the new dragon broke.

Hopefully F! will get more upgrades. Maybe something with the water jets, and mist screens so that it has the same tech as Woc.
