Very cool post. I love seeing how things were imagined vs. how they come out.

Jeez why didn't our Roger Rabbit get two stories as planned? That would have been so awesome! If the framework is still there, they should make that happen!!!

Interesting how Rodger Rabbit's
Cartoon Spin was originally proposed
to be a two story attraction.
To bad it never came to fruition.
Oh well, fantastic article and
amazing photos.

The outside facade of the actual structure appears to have two levels, just like the rendering. It may not be a literal two level structure, but it does represent the concept art rather well.
You can't always take concept renderings too literal.

Thanks for the informative article!
As for looking at the artwork for ToonTown, it would have been really nice to have had that slope down ToonTown; I mean, come on. There was room.

I'm a design student so believe me I never take concept renderings too literal. ;)
It actually said in the article that Disneylands Roger ride building maintains the balcony in which to support the ride vehicles, it just didn't end up working out that way which is a bummer.

What i love about it is that the imagineers had the mind of cartoonists. and the mind of animators that actually came to life. Thats why i love disneyland so much, because its the idea that its real, and every single inch of each ride is to theme.
Love it!
