| Re: Saturday food and wine festival picture trip report I had a long but very fun day at the food and wine festival with my Fiancee. First off was Seered Ahi in a lettus bowl from the restorante the leaf chopping block on Wilshire BLVD in LA. I wasn't a big fan of the Ahi and I don't eat salads but the purple potatos were good. Next demo was the dole demo which was very good but had to eat fast how the line for the next demo Robert Irvine was growing fast. The dole demo served mango lemonade drink and beef with roasted corn and mango salsa. After waiting an hour and a half it was time for Robert Irvine from dinner impossible. The show lasted an hour and was very good. He served steak and mah potatos. Next it was time for Melissa's produce. This wait was only a half an hour no bad at all. When we sat down there was little containers with fruit in then. I liked learning about the fruit but didn't eat much. I learned alot though. After the demo they gave out kids books. The last demo was Germany which they served spotoli not sure of spelling. It was good pasta dumplings and sausage. Had to wait another hour and a half. Sorry no pic ate it then realied I forgot to take a pic so I took a pic of my empty plate. I liked all the demos but how they only got one main stage which is a tent infront of sunshine plaza get there early and be prepared to wait over an hour if you plan to get in. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK TOMORROW AFTER THE PRACTICE GUMBALL RALLY!!!!! |
