Trip Report 4/10/09 Trip Report: New Camera, DCA, DL, Lost Bar

My girlfriend got a new camera to replace the one eaten by Rockin' Roller Coaster in Florida, so what is the only logical thing to do? Head to the Disneyland Resort on a Friday afternoon and spam MiceChat with Pics! Note, any bad pictures were taken by me. Good ones are by my gf, who goes by Singersoul on MiceChat, but never posts. She is a natural photographer. (Click on pics for larger versions)

This is me being excited about going to the DLR for the first time in a while. Note the button on my car's visor.

There are times when DCA is an absolutely gorgeous park...

More foliage. The DLR landscaping department is really on this spring.

The new sunburst is nice, but seems lacking.

Mr. Potatohead holds court. Haven't seen him take his ear off in a while. Does he still do that?

Really, the games of the boardwalk are all really quite well done. What follows are some of the standouts from that.

Disney's Construction Wall Adventure! Really, this wall is very pretty!

Walt was a handsome young man.

That-a-way!

One of the more nicely landscaped areas of DCA, and it's so often overlooked and ignored.

Snowmobiles? In Southern California?

How many of you knew this area was here?

Interesting juxtaposition:

Tile collage in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot. Another nice detail of this oft-maligned park.

The Muppets are full of gas.

More pretty DCA flowers:

DCA landscaping is very very nice.

The crowds leaving DCA and heading across the Esplanade into the other park. Next up in the TR we will head over there and see a couple incredible photos that my girlfriend took. Later on we'll head over to the Lost Bar for drinking and... drinking!

I love those more hidden areas around Grizzly River, and the details, and landscaping... It really does have some great things about it.

We really do need to organize an RCMC Meet at Disneyland. I am really hoping to swing a trip for the 5th Anniversary. I am saving for that possibility already. What is it, 9 months away?
