What Disneyland resort songs do you like the most?
What Disneyland resort songs do you like the most?
The songs can be from Disneyland attractions in the past, present, or near future. Basically if there was a song you heard at DLR, even if it was in the queue line, restaurants, or just atmosphere music that you enjoyed pleased o tell us.
Here are the disneyland songs and music that I like:
1) the Queue music for the Haunted Mansion Holiday,
2) The Haunted Mansions music that you hear as you enter the stretching gallery,
3) Fantasmic
4) The old and new space mountain music
5) How do you do and zip-a-dee-do-dah from Splash
6) Winnie the pooh's queue line music
7) Merrily on our way to nowhere at all (Mr. Toad)
8) The teacups medley
9) Meet me tonight on Main Street
and the list goes on and on.
Re: What Disneyland resort songs do you like the most?
Oho, where to begin? There are so many pieces to mention.
1. All five main songs in the Haunted Mansion. That's the foyer/corridor of doors organ, limbo flute, ballroom organ waltz, attic piano, and graveyard jamboree. All but the attic piano are variations on the same GGG theme, and the amount of variety presented is great. Buddy Baker did a fantastic job of composing a versatile and appropriately eerie-yet-enjoyable song. I actually like the graveyard jamboree least of the five, although the lyrics are fun. I prefer the more ominous foyer organ. The ballroom waltz is great, as well--it really sounds like a stately waltz being played by an organist who doesn't realize how much his talent has been tarnished by death. I've tried many times to create an arrangement that piece--which was actually an improvisation of the GGG theme--and my success has been limited. So many cluster chords and minor-major 7ths... :pinch: :geek:
2. Yo Ho Yo Ho. I mean, come on. How can anyone dislike that song? Unless, of course, they've been trapped on a boat in the ride for two hours...
3. All Splash Mountain music. Splash Mountain isn't my favorite ride, but there's something to be said for its cheerful tone.
4. The Dixieland jazz that plays throughout NOS. Especially the live music, but the recordings played through the speakers are great, too. My father plays Dixieland music, and I've grown up listening to it. So there's multiple kinds of sentimental value for me.
5. All the esplanade music. All of it. The musical choices are great.
6. The suite used for Indy. The music fits the scenes perfectly. I have the Disneyland soundtrack, and that's one of my favorite tracks. I've been tempted to arrange it for a full orchestra several times, but that would mean listening to it so much that I'd probably get tired of it.
7. All the Main Street music. It's got that magical Disney quality to it. It's just uplifting to hear.
There's a lot more. But these are just some of the highlights.

4. The Pirates of the Carribbean music version which plays when you come up the last lift hill back to the loading platform
5. Mad Tea Party
6. Splash Mountain (There's just BEEES in here!)
I mean, I love em all but these are my most favoritest.

I agree, Soaring has great music. Forgot that on my list. I actually like the music on Screamin', too. I know that music isn't too popular, but I like how it takes on a slightly eerie tone just before the countdown.
Does anyone know who wrote the Soaring music?
