What is the gumball rally?

Hey Everyone, I new the boards and I love this forum so much and I want to get to know more people. When I get my AP, I plan to come to the park on a sunday and meet you all.

But I wanted to know what exactly happens at the Gumball rally? It looks like fun!

You don't know about Gumball Rally? Fresh Meat... I mean, welcome new member!!!!

Seriously, the Gumball Rally is one of MiceChats greatest sponsored events!! I went last year and worked the event and it was beyond a blast!!!

Basically, you form teams of at least 2, but not more than 4 members. On the day of the Rally, you are given instructions and a packet, and challenged to ride as many rides and attractions in BOTH park as you can in the alloted time!!

Sound easy? Well there are some catches. In the packet will be questions that you can only answer if you actually ride the ride. You get points for the questions, and points for the ride. Oh.... and we do have these rules about the team breaking up. If someone can't or doesn't want to ride something, thats cool, but they must wait at the exit of the ride.

But all in all its a fantastic way to not only spend the day in one of our favorite places, but to hang out with tons of other like minded people, meet new friends and have FUN!!!

Thanks for the welcome. I won't be able to go sunday. But im going to DL on monday for my birthday and getting my first AP... kinda weird for someone who used to work there.

But I would love to go on a sunday and meet you all. I will post a thread when I can make it into the park on a sunday!

My daughter and I did the Practice Rally this past Sunday and it was a whole new bonding experience for us. We couldnt stay for the "official meet" after the rally but we'll be back one of these sundays for a meet and for sure for the official Rally at the end of May. Fun! Fun! Fun! If you have any way of participating this year, dont blow it until then next one. Thats what I've done it the past and I was so mad at myself for letting it go by until now.

Where did you work? And when? I've never worked there. I would never want to anyway - too much spoiling the magic. But I have lots of freinds and relatives who do work there and did.

When I worked there in early 2006. I was mostly in Fantasyland, toontown and tomorrowland stores. I was a hat writer, with the OLD GOOD hat machines. THe ones that took talent. Then I was promoted to Lead in Fantasyland stores and I worked mostly by the Castle and Its a small world.

I loved working there but the drama was worse than high school.
