I found this at OC Register.com, thought it was cool. I had never seen pictures of the inside of Walt's Apartment before.

~Walt Disney~
Very cool. Sort of sad too. I wonder if the Disney family ever goes up there.
It's so cozy!
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Thanks for sharing! I've been in there once before, and I always found the decor ... surprisingly ... dare I say, garish? It worked well for the time period, and I mean no disrespect to Lillian Disney. But not my cup of tea, personally.
I don't know why you would want to "blame" the decor on Lillian. It was Walt who was the Victorian fan, and Emile Kuri--Walt's personal interior designer, as well as a noted set designer--caried out Walt's Victorian vision. And as a fellow fan of Victorian architecture, style and decor, I think he succeeded admirably.

Re: Walt's Apartment That was wonderful. As a young one, I often dreamed of spending the night in Uncle Walt's apartment (right here in Disneyland!) and waking up and having Uncle Walt bring me treats. He had already passed away by then, of course, but I still had that fantasy. I so wish he would have lived.
