Does that model show where the station will be? I am having a hard time trying to find it.

Here is a link to MasterGracey's Photo of the model. Hope the repost of this link is alright.

With the caveat that we don't know how close that model is to final...

The "station" is just about dead center of the photo. There's a doubly wide space with a blue and black car in it, above the round building.

From there, the cars go for a slow leisurely switchback drive up the mountain, over the waterfall bridge and into the show building. Later, after the fast section with banked curve, they go along the "slowdown" section next to the current parade building before returning to the station.

Does anybody know how the parade route will be after phase one is complete?

Hehe, I think you misunderstood me. I can see the photo perfectly fine, but I just can't locate the station on the model, if it is even on there at all.

Thanks for the help anyway

Sometimes I actually read things, other times my mind makes them more interesting for me. Neat effect I assure you! (As Im sure you can assume, I was actually reading and responding to posts quickly as the posting became rapid around then and just misread it )

Where the Red and Blue cars in in the middle of the track, I see two tracks that bank off from the main track. Do you thikn this is some kind of shortcut that the cars quickly vear onto? Seems a waste to have that big corner dead ahead that the cars are aiming toward.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

Just thinking, maybe those side tracks are an alternate route the car can take to incorperate some interactivity? Car asks if you want to take the shorcut, you type yes or no on a pad infront of you and vear off. that would be pretty cool. Unless its just a crossing/overpass that I cant pick out.

Edit: Its an overpass, dang...

As much as I do love this concept art:

Which is totally gorgeous

The model looks really nice too.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

Very simmiler, just missing some ridges and tunnels. The art is, as is expected stylized. Notice even it has the powerpole blocking peaks.

On another note, does anyone know of a map that includes the land owned by Disney in the Disneyland area? I want to see how this fits together with the parking lots and the hotels that people are talking about. Ive never really ventured round the south end of DCA and can only go off of Disney's own "super acurate" (not) maps.

Wow, that went quick...

Any news on Aladdin closing or on A Bug's Land?

What's even more awesome about that art is the walkway that goes under the track and over towards the "hood" rock, with the little old/ghost town there. I really hope we get to walk over there (maybe it's part of the queue?) - think of the awesome pictures!

I think that model is an early concept model. While the feeling/intent may be there, I'm sure that there have been changes, including the show building (which doesn't appear to be on the model).

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

I later found that out (post 53)

How do we know there will be a show building? It could just be in the tunnels you can make out on the model and concept art.

Wow, 60 posts in 5 hours. 3% done already.
