Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

here i found some pictures of the show scene models without the roof on them

http://www.mouseinfo.com/gallery/fil...5_original.jpg

notice in this model section that there are two seperate show scenes seperated inside the structure with rockwork

the bottom scene shows the tractor scene and inside the same structure there is another road hidden behind rockwork.

you could also see the walls of the show building around the scenes in white styrofoam

Oh ya they wont go more then say one or two, but that piece of machinery is able to, judging by the person standing under it, and the fact that the theater where I live has something exactly like it to lower the stage floor.

Those look more like narrow hallways then a grand show building, which was my point, much of the ride occurs outside with tunnels and crevasses that the car disappears and reappears from. I guess the point I was going for is its not like Indy where a large portion of the ride happens inside.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

here is another picture of another show scene. This scene according to rumors is where the track will split. Some cars will go into one show scene and the other into another show scene. Then the race begins

Obviously no one really knows the full layout or storyline

The point I was making in my original post in PT4 is that this ride shouldnt be a super tall ride, except for the peaks which will block the power lines. (Even though they wont really need to be amazingly tall either) Yes, there is a bit of room in the back where the tunnels dissapear but not enough to really host anything but a desent into some sort of basement or a fairly straight track that exits somewhere else. I cant wait to see the other ideas for the ride though. Obviosly Disney has many ideas floating around. I can still hope they give you a choice of two tracks to take somewhere on the ride.
At least a portion of the rockwork will have to be high enough to block the power lines from the park entrance (you're pretty much looking in that direction when entering the park), the rest will have to be high enough to make the tall portions not look out of scale, block the Fun Wheel from inside the land and, of course, cover the show building.

well no exactly like Indy. Indy is 100% indoors. RSR will have several parts and shows scenes indoors with the majority of the outside portion being the slow cruise around the desert landscape and the final drag race.

The show buildings are not small though remember they have to allow room for a track, a large size vehicle similiar to the ones used for testrack as well as the show scene which is suppose to include full size figures of the cars

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

Lets also not forget that the Carthay building as well as the new landscaping in the entrance will block some of the views that the metal gold sun do not

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

Would there be enough room to add a trail that runs though Radiator Springs Racers, maybe a small bridge or two over the track and sitting areas to watch the ride in action up close?

It seems like a lot of beautifully-designed space devoted to one ride that you won't be able to explore on foot. It shouldn't be expansive, though, otherwise it'll interfere with the ride experience.

Fair enough fair enough. Haha Im getting that feeling that we are debating the same side of the arguement. But using diffrent ways to do so. There is no doubt that this ride will have dark sections where scenes will happen. Im just saying that there isnt one big wearhouse building hiddenbehind the mountain that the track runs all through passing diffrent effects and sets.

Tat IS pretty much the case. It just won't be as huge a building as the Indy one is

you have to remember that the mountain range they are producing will have to be forced perspective in order to achieve the effect they are after. If they let people actually wander in that area, it would destroy that effect.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

Disney needs another good outdoor E-ticket. I would count BTMR, maybe the Matterhorn, Splash, and Screamin' as such but aside from a few Im sure to have forgotten there arent many. One thing is for sure, this ride is going to ROCK at night.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker V

It's actually several buildings built into the rockwork. Each is probably smaller then Indy, but they are not small by any means.
