The ones connected to the amphitheater are for the new audio system and lights and the ones in the lagoon are just lights.

I believe the projectors will go in the lighthouse strucutures, which I believe will be mounted to the flat concrete pads they built around the back side of the platform.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

What about the two spots on the left and ride side of the wheel, what are those for? I thought they were going to be for the projectors since they said the picture looks better when it's coming from behind the water screen.

Those are the flat concrete pads I was refering to. I think there are five, the two you refer to, one right at the center of the wheel and two further to each side. The drawings at the cellar show that the "lighthouse" will be mounted on steel legs on those pads and that each lighthouse will have two projectors which will sit above the water with sort of a flat tray like piece that sits just above the water and below the projector that would protect the projectors from being splashed. I believe the two projectors will actually project the same thing, but be combined to provide more brighness and clarity then has ever been seen before on a water screen.

makes you wonder why some of those rockforms are not used to cover the concrete walls between the soon to be Silly symphony and the zephyr.

Instead of having a concrete wall holding back a sand pit some fake rockwork would give that area a more natural look.

Something similiar to the edge of the sub lagoon but with more realistic rockwork.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that picture. I really don't like that area, it looks so odd with the little sand area on top of the concrete wall. If they are putting rockwork on the tower it's only going to make that area stand out more. But if the covered the concrete with rockwould it would look much better.

From your lips to WDI's ears. The amount of exposed concrete lining the bay is one of my biggest pet peeves about the Pier. It's supposed to be a natural body of water, yet all the edges are exposed, and there's no shoreline to speak of. It's a huge head scratcher to me when you compare it to the Warf area or the sub lagoon.

Arent they supposed to have a double decker pier? Couldnt the cement be the foundation for this? If thats the case than it will be covered up by wood and the water would run right under it right?

    I could be wrong though

We were talking about the curved wall behind this view of the new swings between them and the zephyr. Actually you can see a tiny bit of the wall in this picture at the right edge, about half way up.

That whole area between the swings and the Zephyr is terribly messy. You've got the concrete-bordered "beach", the new concrete semi-circular retaining wall coming off the SS Rustworthy bridge and the new gear-shaped base to SSS.

Presumably, the SSS will get a nice queue theme. But I can't guess what the plans are with the beach and SS Rustworthy - the latter is being removed, but what is the small concrete semi-circle for? And now there's a projector house (or something) right in front the beach - you'd think if they were going to retheme this area, they would have done it while working on the projector house, not after.

Oh ok, my misunderstanding. YEa i get what your saying that side of the pier will actually make Paradise bay look like what it really is–A cement hole. And I think that looks unfinished its strange because you look all around the pier, and obviously we know that that its all cement but up until that area it looks fairly believeable.

And your right, even on the right side of the drawing you can see the cement. Almost makes it look like a huge swimming pool. well i guess thats really what it is. But i think they could do some rock work over there and finish the surrounding area of the bay.

True, I honestly am not expecting the DOuble decker pier...I'm expecting a "Variation"... But we didn't get the extended pier for MFW, so i don't really know what to expect/ have any expectations for SSS, aside from the ride itself.
