I think that's very close to when it will open, but we probably won't know exact dates for several months. It's so far out still from completion that Disney probably doesn't even know the exact date for sure.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

But I can't guess what the plans are with the beach and SS Rustworthy - the latter is being removed, but what is the small concrete semi-circle for? And now there's a projector house (or something) right in front the beach - you'd think if they were going to retheme this area, they would have done it while working on the projector house, not after.
That little sand bar and retaining wall near the Zephyer has always bugged me. Especially since the Zephyer base has nice rock work around it itself. Maybe the sand bar will be fixed now with this fake rockwork. We can hope and dream.

I was at the parks today again (3rd day in a row)

The Little Mermaid wall now extends past Souvenir 66 and Corn Dog Castle. Here's some pix I snapped with phone.

I seriously thought I took this pic WAY better, but you can see Corn Dog Castle in the background.

I'm amazed I'm the first one posting about this. The tank things that have been covered with the white coverings are being recessed into the WoC stage. You can check on this in the newest mousetimes pictorial and you can also see the apparatus being used to lower them down in darkbeer's photos. So that explains how those are going to be hidden during the show.

And also, there are parts of the WoC show that get really close to MFW, so now there is a truly viable reason as to why they didn't do the wrap-around boardwalk, or at least for me.

Pics or links please? No, I'm not being lazy, I just really do not want to look through Darkbeer's 44 pages of photos at this time... (yes David, I will get back to them, it's not overload... )

    Darkbeer : photos : Disneyland Resort - 6/3/09

Ok, that should be it. The mousetimes picture is about 3/4 of the way down. The darkbeer photo has the blue apparatus, which I assume would help lower the tanks down.

Anyone have any idea what this camera is? I've never seen it before. I assume it's temporary, but for what purpose? It's in the right center of this photo on a stand.

I honestly have no clue. It's a video camera that records and saves what it's watching (I have them at my college), so I don't really know why they'd have it in there. I can't imagine that they'd really want to keep an eye on the construction workers It'd be nice to know what it's pointing at exactly, though.

It is a time lapse camera. It will show all of the progress when they are finished with the pier. They can then use the footage in a commercial showing all the changes they have made or more likely in a podcast.

Here is an example of then they used one of those cameras for American Idol at Disney Studios.

It was installed actually several months before they even started as I remember. Darkbeer caught a picture of it soon after it went up and we all wondered way back then what it could be for.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

That was going to be my guess, but do you have proof of this?
