Seriously I had the magazine and just expected that it was taken care of. I'm just a lowly D23 member after all!

Hey, everybody likes a helping hand ...

I signed up for D23 after the summer edition came out, and then I went on vacation, so I am just now having the opportunity to flip through it. In any case, I'm glad I can share this stuff with the folks who don't have D23 memberships The WOC art is pretty fantastic.

The Alice in Wonderland made me drop my jaw. It is stunning. I had an idea about a Chesire Cat being incorporated into a while ago. First you hear a laugh and then the signature eye and smile are projected on to Mickey's face. Then swirls of purple go around Fun Wheel before water shoots up and the face moves over the left before a full projected cat is featured on the water screens.

Don't fall too in love with it.... it's just concept art after all!

I am so glad Steve Davison said that

Several of the original sketches released for World of Color are, in fact, no longer in the show.
He just saved us pages and pages of grief in a future DCA tracker.

I scanned the article about it when I picked up the mag a few weeks ago. Looks pretty cool.

Going by the 3 new pieces of concept art, we can see the huge backdrop water screen. I'd heard about it, but never seen concept art for it.

My question is where does this match up on the platform. I don't see any fountains at the back of the platform that stand out as screen fountains.

    Thanks Master Gracey!!
It Figures, I asked twice if the magazine had new artwork and was ignored the first time and the second time I was told there was nothing new. Wasn't going to pick up the magazine at the park until you posted that. Thanks again

"We were going to do a whole car chase in water, but we tabled it to use in a future version of the show."
So there will be several variations of the show within time.

    Intriguing.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Remember, we heard that there would be holiday versions of the games in Toy Story Midway Mania, and random drop sequences for the Tower of Terror, and a whole new Fantasmic! show, but none of that has happened yet. (Despite the upgrades, Fantasmic is 17 years old and still essentially the same show.)

Assuming World of Color is an immediate hit, I wouldn't expect the show to change for many, many years.

Of course there will, they have to test it with a real audience like they are doing for magical and hopefully will do with fantasmic and EP.
