If so, then what should take it's place? Maybe a Revue? What do you think?
P.S. I'm talking about the DCA Hyperion Theater Aladdin Show

I heard someone on here say that Aladdin should be reeplaced by a Mulan musical. I personally think that is a great idea. Mulan could easily have elaborate sets and choreography. Plus, since it is a classic tale, it could fit in with the 1930s Hollywood.
It will never happen, but bring back the Tahitian Terrace! I only was lucky enough to see it once when I was young, but I do have fond memories of the show.
Which Aladdin show are you talking about? The one at DCA or the former one in Adventureland?
If you are talking about the one in the hyperion theater.
Then......
YES!!!! Rip it out. I hate it. Personally I wish they would bring back "The Power of BLAST!" or something like it that Disney cooked up themselves instead of an already established show. That way there wouldn't be a short term contract. That show was awesome. I found myself going to Disneyland just to see it.
yes!!! How many times can anyone watch the same show? oh wait...i think i know the answer to that.
Nooooooooooooooooo. It is by far the best stage show Disney has ever done in the parks. IMO.

It's time to let go...
But PLEASE for goodness' sake PLEASE do not replace it with Toy Story the Musical!![]()
They should tear down the building entirely and in its place put something more worthwhile... like a gravel yard. The theatre is an eyesore, inside and out. Aladdin is dreadful and embarrassing. It would even fit into the 'so bad it's funny' category if it didn't drone on for 45 minutes. If DCA needs a theatre, they should build the Carthay to those specs. It would be a much better fit theme wise and give that edifice a solid purpose since it's currently lacking one. As for what should go in there... how about a revue of the best from their Broadway musicals?
i think they should get rid of aladdin and put in one of the broadway shows. personally lion king or the little mermaid.
I agree with Brer Stefan---I have not grown tired of it yet! I know its not quite the same thing, but I've been on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride many, many times and I will never ever tire of it...! Aladdin is charming and very entertaining, and a good way to rest the feet after hours of walking...hehe.![]()
And I thought I was the only one that disliked Aladdin - the way some people carry on about it.
I'm not a big fan of stage shows. So, I say put anything in there that will keep the place packed. Then I can go on all the rides.![]()
I always thought that there would be different shows in the theatre on some kind of a regular basis (Annually, every other year, etc.)
Our first trip to DCA we saw "Stomp" (or something similar, can't remember if that was the correct act or if I am mixing it up with a similar group).
After seeing Alladin some time later I expected that in a year or two there would be something different. We have seen Alladin twice, that's enough for us.
Bring on a new show.
Maybe you folks can tell me though. Does gettin' two womenfolk mean you're the winner or the loser?

It's very hard to grow tired of the show when the Genie has a substantial amount of improv'ed lines and dialog that keep it pretty fresh every few weeks.
Furthermore, that shows packs in the crowds consistently.
One of the best live-performance productions at any Disney park, IMO, if not the best.
