Bat Day! Finally, after hearing about this for so long, I had my chance to attend. Although, I nearly missed out - I only learned from my Rally Captain the night before that it was taking place. While not quite as Gothy as all the other Bats, it was nice to have an excuse to wear black and whip out the eyeliner. And if there is one common thread for all Bats, it's BLACK and EYELINER.
All I really wanted to do was people watch, and so I kept my camera ready and took a plethora of people shots.
Bert came through the line waiting for pictures with him and Mary to tell us that Mary had to leave to get ready for the parade. I held up my camera and said, "I'm cheating, then!" and snapped this one as he made a funny shocked face!
This man was officially parading down the street, it was hilarious.
I managed to take some more shots with greasy fingers as I ate a veggie skewer.
I loved this Bats look, it was really cute on him.
The Gentleman on the left with the long hair was one of my favourite Bats because he smiled at me. Once that happened I walked up to him and asked him about when the Mansion Meet was. He was a sweetie!
"Hey Mickey, why don't we get this hunk of stuff out of the way and put the Astro Orbiters back?"
You might notice I don't look as happy with Mulan as I am with the other Princesses...it's because right as I turned the corner, Belle and Mulan were trading off. Belle smiled and said "Hello" to me, at least, but...I've never seen Mulan's movie and I'm a huge Belle fan. I was a little sad!
But I was super excited to meet Cinderella!!! I love her!
And Aurora too! What a thrill! I'm definitely going to go back another day all dressed up and try again for the Princess shots. I'd love to get a picture with Ariel, but my only concern is I might actually cry when I meet her. Heehee...I can't help it!
Caught these Bats as I was on my way back to my car for my warm clothes.
The Bats are all lined up!
You could hide a lot of things under there, it seems.
This guy was quite a character, and was talking a mile a minute. Entertaining!
This guy straight-faced asked, "Do you have your passes to get in?" And he totally got me, hook, line, and sinker. "Haha, you should have seen the look on your face!" Phew, I didn't want to wait that long in the line for nothing!
Getting an accurate count of the Bats. I was number 408!
And here is my trip through the Mansion!

Next year I'll be sure to be more Batty, but I can't complain about this year - it was a blast! I even met a sweet girl in line who gave me a homemade bat charm! Further proof that Bats aren't all bite!
