![]() | Re: Cast Members: Past, Present, Future You would still be employed. Some come back for Thanksgiving weekend, but most come back for Christmas break.

| Full o' the blarney ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cast Members: Past, Present, Future Just for historic note... Back in my time (Stone Age, remember) I hired in as a Casual/Seasonal (as they were referred to back then). Only the better workers were promoted to PPT (Permanent Part Time). There were two levels of PPT... "C" - which was really no guarantee of hours during the off-season but you'd get anywhere between 4-20 hours a week...perfect for us professional college students (lol) "B" - which meant anywhere from 320-39.999 hours "A" - Permanent Full Time. And from all I can tell, we were paid better, enjoyed our jobs more, and stayed longer (in non-recessionary times) than most CM's today. -- Barry

![]() | Re: Cast Members: Past, Present, Future Casual/seasonal (CT) was entry level back when I started. In those days (79-80) it took quite a while to move up to part time since people stayed in their jobs so much longer then. I left to go to school up north after two seasons so never advanced to PPT. And we were paid better back then relative to inflation. Disneyland was the best part time job in Southern California - especially for students.

![]() | Re: Cast Members: Past, Present, Future I so want to work there. I just have 6 more years at my current job to lock in retirement and 100% medical for life. After that, I'm thinking monorail duty would be one of the best jobs in the park. |
