Are they going to update the naration on the DLRR to reflect the fact that there are 5 trains now instead of 4?

I like the traditional voice, but I would be nice to have updated information and the same voice throughout the entire trip around Disneyland.

Yup another train is supposed to be added to the collection. The new engine is from a private collector and it's being completely refurbised. The engine will be named Ward Kimall, after Disney animator and railfan. The headlamp will feature Ward's paintings of Jiminy Cricket, the character he created and animated in Pinocchio.
No. 1 C.K. Holliday
No. 2 E.P. Ripley
No. 3 Fred Gurley
No. 4 Ernest S. Marsh
No. 5 Ward Kimball
I agree and also like the current voice. Sometimes it's nice (especially when going into Toon Town) to get information on shows (like Snow White) or parades when they are going to happen soon.
Here is more information about the Disneyland Railroad: http://www.burnsland.com/sdra/index.html
its Thurl Ravenscroft and he is still alive so it would be great if they could get him to re-record the narration.
I hope the next train will be a tribute to Ollie Johnston (another RR enthusist).Originally Posted by BigPigletFan

I'm really glad that they're naming the fifth for Ward. He was one of the last remaining greats of his time. We need more people like him in the company. I think that as long as they keep "the voice" an update would be nice. And I hope that they can get the WK on the tracks by the 50th.
You would think that being in New York for eight months out of the year would be cool...not when the closest thing you have to Disneyland is the World of Disney Store on Madison.
I know I'm stepping in a little late here, but I just wanted to clarify that there will still be four trains (sets of cars). But there will be five locomotives.Originally Posted by Disneydanny

Eglantine, Eglantine, oh how you shine!
I don't believe in giving animals ridiculous names. I call him Cosmic Creepers...
...and if you've got no other choice, you know you can follow my voice...
Saw them testing E.P. Ripley with train on the tracks today.
Not yet, but I really need to!Originally Posted by Emelius_Browne
I also saw a train being tested yesterday (I don't know which one) but it just had one passenger car with workers and the engine. It was bizarre seeing the train blow right through the Mainstreet station without stopping...Originally Posted by Importance
According to Disneyland RR Guy..they ran 2 trains today...testing the block lights!!
