Re: myth/legend is walt cryogenically frozen in disneyland

His frozen head rests beneath the Matterhorn along with the heads of 8 of the 9 old men. Sometimes they are transported by those ODV carts to other places in the park.

Do they wear red longjohns when they're being transported?

    OH lordy lou.

Whenever you hear an urban legend, the best place to go is Snopes.com ... look under the Disney heading and it'll tell you all about how the Waltsicle rumor got started.

Yeah, except that's what they want you to believe - you have to check the sources yourself. Just take a peak into those ODV carts next time you're in the park and post what you see...

Fools, Walt isn't frozen at Disneyland, he's under the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom. Why else is the theater still rotating there? It's because of Walt's constant spinning in his grave...

    Mmm, I'd lick it.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I think 5 years ago would have been an awful time for Walt to defrost. I think he would have been none to pleased.
But I think now he would be optimistic about the changes going on and could help push people further in the right direction. Wouldn't it be incredible to see what Walt would do now with all of the new technology and such? *sigh* One can only dream...

Re: myth/legend is walt cryogenically frozen in disneyland

First, It's cheaper to only freeze the head under the theory that if they can figure out how to reverse every cell exploding from the freezing process, it should be no problem to clone a new body and attach the head. We aren't quite to that point yet, so there's no need to thaw Walt out. Plus, who would really want to explain to him why we don't have a moon base.

As a side note, if Walt's head was thawed out and put on a cloned body, Disney Corp would almost certainly put the spare head up on ebay.

Robot Chicken had a rather disturbing POV on the subject of Walts head! (Click on Episode 5)
