yeah i saw that through the tram area a couple of days ago....it would be nice if you could ride it again.

That looked like John Lasseter in the front of the Monorail.
It's good to hear Disneyland is fixing up the props along The Rivers of America; Though Gullywhumper (and Bertha Mae) we're once much more than props. I miss the Keelboats plying The Rivers of America. The origional Keel boats were the actual boats from the Davy Crockett TV show. Walt Disney was proud of those boats. Too bad the Pressler Years cutbacks killed off the Keel Boats.

There are several site you can cross-reference, as well as comments on here. The basic issue was that the CM's heavily loaded the top of the Keelboat, then made a series of sharp turns in the rapids. The sharp turns weren't "authorized" but were a common way to simulate the twists and turns of being in rapids. But because the boat was already top-heavy the maneuvers made it splash down sideways (not a full capsize).
