Re: Memorial Weekend - And Paradise Pier's Drought continues

Entering the Beast's Home in the Animation Building, you can watch the enchanted rose, as each petal falls

And as the last petal falls . . . .

And the next area takes you under water
    to Ursula's Grotto!

    Just outside the Animation Building
is this mysterious group of singers

Their group must have a name,
But it's not to be found
    on the entertainment schedule.

Over to the Hollywood Tower Hotel

And a little of Condor Flats

    On to the Wharf
with paradise pier in the background

BUT Mysteriously, as you reach the pier
    the water vanishes

I had seen pictures of the construction,
but to see it in person is amazing
    This is one enormous project

Just by looking at the scope of this project,
I'm really looking forward to seeing
    the final result.

I'd don't expect the new show to have
as big of a variety of entertainment aspects

But I'm am still hoping that they will
shoot of a few of the smaller fountains
once in a while, during the daylight hours.

If they are going to spend all that money
they might as well make use of the infastructure!

And a special thanks to Carl and Ellie
Chuck and Sally, for allowing me to join
    the Birthday Celebration
(if they ever get a dog, maybe they will name it snoopy )

We made our way around the waterless Ceement Pond

With a short stop at the MaliBoomer

Oh, we did stop by the refurbished Midway Games
I'll just say, they look prettier in pictures.
It's really too bad they give generic stuffed toys
When it would be much more memorable
to win a prize that says
    "Paradise Pier"
    OR
a Disney toy of some sort
    OR
    some old fashioned prizes,

It would really help set a different time/era

    One other thing
    when hanging around, KC
    keep your camera handy

    Because you don't
want to miss moments like this.

Much more to come, the Hyperion's Aladdin, Pixar Play Parade and trying to keep one jump ahead of Aladdin and Jasmine in Adventureland!

I had to see Aladdin in the Hyperion,
and the Genie continues to add new Jokes.
I really do like this show

This is one of the Sultan and the Genie is one of my favorites

Love the pictures and report. Your new camera works great at Disneyland and we all know that is what is most important.

Love your pictures and your trip report.

I just bought the camera you're using. It does really well on the dark rides. I was surprised. I had a few issues in POTC where my DSLR would have fine fine, but over all it's a great camera.

Have to mention that some of the shot from Aladdin were taken from the 2nd row, others were taken from the Balcony, near the top. Camera has a great zoom, I just need a more steady hand.
