OK Rallyers..How many rides did you go on?

First off, thanks to all the organizers, volunteers, and participants for a great time at the Rally Saturday!

I know the tallying for the rally was done on a point system (different point values for each ride), but I'm just curious how many total rides you went on. Also if/when you have a chance to do it again, how would you change your strategy.

I think our total was 32 rides (which sounds like a lot when, on an average day at the park, I think I'm doing good if I get on 8-9 rides).

As for me (I'm only speaking for me, not my team), I think I would have reviewed the answer book more carefully and try to accomplish more of the high point rides earlier in the day, and then start working through completing areas.

And what an awesome 32 rides they were, too!

A strategy change in my mind...hit up DCA early! Didn't realize how crazy crowded it was going to be over there.

Re: OK Rallyers..How many rides did you go on?

Jon's angels completed 33 attractions including all of DCA by 12 noon. We went over to DCA by 9:45 and were on Toy Story by 9:55AM. We were able to complete all the attractions that had points higher than 5 points. While we did not complete all the attractions I think we did pretty well.

It was a great 32 rides!

I think we're all in agreement as a team that we needed to head to DCA much earlier in the day and knock that one out and started collecting FastPasses earlier on since we ended up with three that we didn't get to use.

Re: OK Rallyers..How many rides did you go on?

Can somebody post the official rules of the competition? I know much of it is on the honor system, and there's a point value assigned to each ride but I'm interested in the logistics of how the race works.

Thanks in advance!

37 attractions . Missing the Matterhorn hurt, in the future will need to figure out a good time for that one.

We kept getting sidetracked!! We would be heading onto one thing and say...let's just do this since we're here! It's all good cuz I had a fabulous time with you guys and I'm in agreement...it was a GREAT 32 rides.

Congrats to all the winners!! And a big thank you to all the staff that worked the event and made it possible. And a HUGE shoutout to HoJo's!!

We saw that the line for this one was 35 mins and decided to go ahead and ride it to get the 8 points. Thankfully it only ended up being a 5 minute line. It was very deceptive as to how long the line was with the different set up they had that day.

That really was a strange set up! As Anders said "why mess with 50 (is that the right #?) years of tradition?!"

That link has a FAQ that explains a lot about the Gumball Rally, including what is allowed/not allowed during the competition.

Re: OK Rallyers..How many rides did you go on?

I think we got 25 or 26, I can't remember. We hit Fantasyland/ToonTown first, but our plan got messed up because we kept getting saying, "OH! The wait for this isn't too bad, let's do it!" and then we didn't get to DCA until 2:30p. Next time we'll get there MUCH earlier.
