    Club 33 questions!

ARRGGHHH!!! I had this whole thing completed and bumped that darn back button on my mouse and lost it all. OK - well let's start again.

In short, I met a lovely lady (We'll call her FG for Fairy Godmother since she is granting us the magical wish!) last spring on the Lilly Belle who offered to get us in as her guests if we were ever to return to DL. Well, we are going back this summer and I contacted her and she is assisting us with this. I didn't want to be a bother to her, so I thought I'd post here since it seems like there are some members and others who have eaten there before who might be able to answer some questions.

I am over the moon excited to be getting this opportunity and want to represent both ourselves and FG well.

We have dined at Victoria & Albert's @ WDW so fine dining is not foreign to us.

We will be celebrating our 11th Anniversary that night (The actual date! - not just celebrating before/after the fact). DS will stay in the room with a sitter.

    Attire:
From what I have read so far, it sounds like if I wear a very nice dress and DH wears Dockers and a Polo style shirt, we will be fine, correct? (I don't even own flip flops, so that's not a problem - and, as much as I love my ugly comfy Crocs, I'd never wear them with a dress... LOL)

    Cost:
We are on a package so our park admission is already covered. I did advise FG about that. With that in mind, is there a minimum cost involved per person? (It isn't a problem - we just want to know all the details before we arrive.) We do not drink alcohol, so we can't pad the bill that way and we'd rather not pad our hips and waistlines all for the sake of making it cost more...

    The Balcony:
FG mentioned something about Fantasmic or Fireworks (Don't remember which) being visible from the balcony there. Which is visible (or both possibly)?
Is anything special required to gain access to the balcony?
If we are in the middle of the meal, is it acceptable to get up and watch the show and then return to the table when it is over?
She suggested a dinner time of around 8 - 8:30 and I said that I would follow her advice and would appreciate any time they could get us in.

    Celebrations:
Since it is our actual anniversary date, do they do anything special to help you celebrate? If so, do we just tell the hostess when we arrive? (or our server, or???)

    Club Merchandise:
I know there are Club 33 branded items for sale. Are they only for members or are guests allowed to purchase them as well?
If available to guests, what type of smaller items are available? We have limited space and don't want anything too large or too fragile to get home.

    Photographs:
Is it OK to take pictures (discreetly of course - and not of other guests/members)?

    Tips and Tidbits:
Anything else you think we should know?

As I said at the start, I feel very honored and lucky to be given this opportunity and we want to represent ourselves and our FG well that evening.

Thank you in advance for all that you are able to share!

p/s - here is a link (hopefully it works!) to our dinner last Feb @ Victoria & Albert's if anyone wants to see...
hmmm.. didn't work - well let's try it this way

    Those should be fine!

Minimum is $69 per person - their rules. I think our group's average was about $115 per person... you can get the vintner's menu the 5 course one or an app and main course and you'll be ok. I do recommend dessert though!

Nothing special, you can just go out to either balcony. The fireworks are partially blocked but still cool to see (though from what I understand, a new show starts June 3... dunno about visibility for that) Fantasmic is dark right now so I'm unsure of the view for the new fireworks. We got up several times during the meal . Our reservations were earlier than 8:30, so our meal was pretty much done by the time the fireworks stared

Guests can purchase them as well. the merch availilty varies. The smaller items are pins and shotglasses. The shirts might be a possablilty as well.

    YES!

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I've watched fireworks and fantasmic from up there after dinner, its not the best spot but it was enough.

if the service exceeded my expectation, I'm a generous tipper

merchandise? I get it from a cast member on the side
I reject your reality and substitute my own

There is a bunch of information on the club here: http://www.disneylandclub33.com/
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

A little piece of info that you probably already knew- to get in, there's a button you have to press, and then over an intercom they'll ask what your names are for reservations and stuff. At least, that what I was told by a former CM. Here's a fairly rare sight- a pic of someone actually going in!!!

So obviously, it doesn't really matter what your wearing.
