Re: Data's Birthday TR

I can only begin to wonder what this is... It looks like a Mickey Mouse sort-a console?

Thanks, all!

And yeah, I'm not sure exactly what that was, KAN, but it said something about Grad Nite on it.

Can't make out the word under the Mickey ears. But you're right, it looks like a video game, almost. Balloons on top make it seem to be part of the birthday celebration promo.

Wow. I was asleep for like an hour or so, and I miss the boat. Aye... I'll post my shots later tonight, for my little brother's band concert prevents me from posting them any earlier. Great recount of the day so far, by the way Joe :oD Keep it comin! I'll jump in soon.

Yes! I really appreciate this! Easier to read and load, for those that aren't on a computer! *points at his phone*

Great TR so far. I always look forward to yours.

Yes,
thanks for thumnail.
Yeah, you have to click to see larger
but it is so much easier when the page loads.

Nice pics
Thanks for backstage.
Backstage stuff is so interesting (for reasons you said, Disney does (or did) a good job of hiding it and trying to figure out the magic is lots of fun...and no, knowing the magic doesn't ruin it, for me it actually increases the magic).

Re: Data's Birthday TR

TRIP REPORT HIJACK!

Hey all! I'm hijacking this trip report and taking it for my own! Actually, not really. Joe gave me permission to do it hahaha. I brought along my camera as well (and that pesky lens cap that was in cahoots with Joe's) and took some shots of my own. Many were taken in rapid succession on BTMRR and the Matterhorn, so there will be track pics. Anywho, on with my TR within Joe's TR!

I got kinda a late start out of the house, but the 91 and 5 freeways were luckily open, so I made good time to the resort and met up with Joe in Town Square. We started walking up Main St...

...and that indeciveness that he mentioned began. We just drifted to Indy, and decided to board an EMV and take a spin through the temple. After, we hit the Mansion and then BTMRR! This is when I began my phototaking experimentations...

Joe and I requested the last row in the back car, and were granted our wish! I took many shots looking behind us... some turned out pretty well.

FRED!!!

After we took our exciting wildest ride in the wilderness, Joe got a call to meet up with startours1! We met at the hub, and then decided to go through Fantasyland and eventually make our way back to IASW.

We made it back there, and the line was hardly long at all. I'll provide some shots I took along the voyage to add to Joes. Not many though... most didn't turn out. Still learning how to operate the camera w/ low-level lighting and no flash.

That's about it... I thought there were more... dang. Oh well. Sorry about that. ANYWAYS, moving on! Since it was along our vector, our small group of 3 decided to go on the Matterhorn! Here, I took more continuous shots of our bobsled run.

Now, I'm going to try something here, and I'm not sure if it will work quite the way I want it to... I created a GIF of the splashdown at the end, but I think it only plays through once on here... forgive me if it does, and I'll try to figure it out and edit the post later to get it working correctly. It looks really cool though (at least, to me it does haha)!

After that fun adventure, I made the decision to take a trip around the resort on the monorail, in the back bubble, no less (as Joe already stated before lol). I didn't end up with many shots either, Joe, but I did get a few.

JOE!

After the ride (I seem to be repeating variations of that statement alot...), we were blasted into space inside of a mountain. Go figure. After making goofy poses at the camera that magically floated in the air where we made our re-entry to the planet, we, as Joe put it, "snuck up the exit ramp of Innoventions" and took shots of the currently out-of-commission Cosmic Waves fountain and other areas up there that are fun to look at. Unfortunately, startours1 suddenly was struck with nostalgia and sorrow, and and I captured him in moment of tragic hope...

Upon our return hike down the ramp, Joe's little camera lens made it's bid for freedom, which was an adventure unto itself! Unfortunately, this was also when my own camera lens noticed how easy it could be to imitate it and do it better, and started plotting against me... more to come later from both Joe and me!

Awesome TR-within-a-TR, Justin! I'm very glad you obliged, and I can't wait to see the rest of 'em.

Nice trip report Seawolf, too bad we couldn't have maintained the thumbnail dream.

Re: Data's Birthday TR

I actually prefer SeaWolf's route when I'm reading TRs, provided the images aren't huge, which they're not in his case. But that's just me. And nonetheless, my part 2 will continue with the small thumbnails. I may actually have it ready before I go to bed...we'll see.
