Who braved DL today (Sept28) 88º night low 104º day high

    Anaheim today was 104 degrees!!!

By 11:20pm ... one of our local news channels said, "it is currently 88 degrees."

All thanks to those trusty Santa Ana Winds that we always get .. starting about this time of year. Running right into December.

Picking up heat from the deserts deep within California.

    YIKES!

Anyone who went ............ I feel sorry for you.

Innoventions is going to start getting packed!

Ughhhhh... I spent half the day wallering around in em. So horrible. But I had to walk to class, and a student at Chapman HAS to go off campus to get a decent lunch, but I didn't want to lose my parking spot, so I went to the Orange Circle for some Blue Frog Cafe. So yummy, but man that walk was killer!

Glad I wasn't at the land today.

    104...OUCH!

The DL site said at one point this morning that it was 79 degree's. I think they need a new thermometer.

I saw the fires in the southland on the evening news. I hope everyone is OK.

Those fires are to the north of the Ron Reagan 118 Freeway in Chatsworth. I could be wrong .. but I don't think any homes are in harm's way.

Ugh, I was going to be driving up to Santa Barbara this weekend. If this fire really starts affecting the 101, I may have to cancel. :\

I was up at the Block last night. Frickin' 90 degrees still when all the stores were closing. Even in Costa Mesa it was near 80 at like 11pm

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Going to be another hot one today, about the same as yesterday, then we can expect a bit of a cool down - 80 or so high. That is according to last night's news.

104? That's ALL?? We get that around here most days during the summer, hehehe. But then, we're used to it here in Texas.

I kid, I kid. Seriously, I remember everyone complaining about how hot it was in July and me being just fine, which was lucky for me. I keep meaning to ask D-mom what I need to be packing for this weekend, shorts or pants... now I know! Wear pants on the plane in case I need them, bring shorts and one jacket, just in case.

It was 104 here yesterday, too. But the funny thing is, we had a cold front last night and it is currently only 61 degrees here, with a high of 77 expected, what's that about? I'm surprised these Texans didn't break out the coats and scarves this morning.

And this is why Disneyland wasn't built near Phoenix, Arizona. It's not like Walt ever planned on building it there...but still.

It better not be that warm on Saturday. This Hag melts in the heat.

I stayed home from school. I always do in the wind. I can't breathe in it and I get emergency room nosebleeds.

I'm hoping it's not so dry tomorrow otherwise I'll be one unhappy camper at Disneyland.

    I don't mind the heat!

Thank goodness that it's supposed to cool down this weekend! That kinda heat could bring misery to Gay Days weekend!! Nobody would want to do anything!

Ugh! It's days like today when I really hate not having an air conditioner. I've got all the windows open, the fan on... I had the door open ever since I got home, but there's only so late that I'll leave that open in this neighborhood. And I live on the top floor, so the heat just radiates in. Looks like 95 was the high today in this part of San Diego. Yuck!

Hopefully tomorrow won't be so hot at the 'Land... looks like it's only supposed to be about 85...

Actually Imagineers had a bit to do with Legend City,
a theme park that was in Phoenix, from 1963 to 1973.

    http://www.azcentral.com/news/column...1ruelas21.html

This article does mention some Disneyland executives were involved
with Legend City, and with some of these Disney people as stockholders
in Legend Park, and a couple different buyout of the park, there was at one time the real possibility of Disney making it one of their own. Unfortunately
    that never came to pass.
