    Vintage Disneyland Railroad Clips

Going through some old 8mm film reels in one of our trunks, I came across some footage from a few very early trips to Disneyland. I transferred the film to digital and cut in all the clips I could find of the Disneyland Railroad. I'm still adjusting the speed on some of them, since they were filmed at different speeds on different days. I'm also adjusting the color, which is tends to shift towards the yellow on old movies. I added in the projector sound for effect.

    Check it out!

    Spoiler
Ok, not really. In reality, this is just a test of a combination of filters I'm figuring out for when I document my Nature's Wonderland model possibly next year. I'm going to splice in some filtered clips as if someone was filming the ride during the 1960's. All the clips shown here were actually recorded (on a digital camcorder) within the timeframe of '07-'08

That's awesome! Nice work! I think these techniques will make your Nature's Wonderland look even more believable. Nature's Wonderland, I'd lose the projector sound. It's cool for this, but I think it would be a tad distracting from your awesome project. That is, if you're going to use sound in it. Just a suggestion.

^Yes, quite true. I might try it without or with it; haven't decided yet. (Of course, I haven't finished the model yet either...)

Ahh, I see you pulled a Data there... Remember his old thread where he did something similar? Good job, though!

^In fact, it was so convincing that OrbitalPunk PM'd me asking how I managed to transfer 8mm film to digital! (Only to discover I've never had 8mm film at all)

Nice job. It actually made me feel nostalgic for the good old days so your video trickery worked pretty well.
