Parking Strategies for us Deluxe AP'ers

If your a deluxe AP'er then you know that Parking isn't free for you. So what are some things you do. I am sort of tired of parking in DTD and only spending a 2 and half hours at the park at a time. Hah!

Spending 3 1/2 hours and parking at DTD is not "cheating" anyone.

If you have multiple individuals in your party I would recommend having one individual purchase a PAP... comes with parking and the additional % discounts. If it's just you, then I would say carpool with other individuals. It potentially saves gas, saves multiple car spaces, saves everyone the seperate parking fee, and you can split parking/gas to win/win.

$50... at the current $12 parking price... is 4 trips (technically 5 but I rounded up $2). So it depends on how often you go. Again the whole party doesn't need one... just one person.

Not to start the grand AP vs Paid debates again... but $300 is a drop in the bucket compared to going multiple times paying full ticket price!

I'm not knocking it, our family was AP's all last year. The reason we didn't renew is that the Birthday Promo and various other discounts have swelled park attendance. With the little ones it can be difficult to navigate in large crowds. Since January we went, maybe 3 or 4 times. Prior to the promo we took full advantage of our AP's. We loved our AP's, never made it to opening, never stayed to closing. We had our fun, on our time, no rush, and we went home when the little ones were tired.

Enjoy your AP... if you find yourself going often I would recommend either the upgrade to PAP (comes with parking and extra discounts) or the $50 parking upgrade.

It is $59 to add parking by the way, but still well worth it because if you bought a Pass your probably going to go more than 5 times.

It absolutely is. The sign clearly states, "No Theme Park Parking." Not to mention, when inconsiderate people use it as such, it takes away from those who use it as its intended so they can go to DTD. And it does cheat Disney a few bucks but the point is is that parking is extremely limited, especially for DTD, and rude APers don't help it.

That's probably what I will end up doing. I can do this at the ticket booths right?

Figure going to the resort once a month and having to pay $144 rather than $59. If you go more than that it's even better. If you go only a couple times a year it's another story.

    Common sense to me

Yup. And I know that when you first buy a pass and had paid for parking, and then add parking to a pass, they will give you $12 off if you have the parking ticket. So, you could also try that.
