Haha totally faked but still fun to watch. The soon-to-be-wife did a good job.

the women in the wheel chair is in the Aladdin musical which points to it being staged. however the chick seams confused confused, not acting confused, which points to i being real at least the first one being staged.
and i recognize the guy from entertainment, i just can't figure out where!

Just because you are in the park almost every day doesn't really make it "cliche". All people aren't local and can just go to the parks and get engaged in front of the castle if they want toVisiting from any other state (not visiting Disneyland as often as often as us MCers). They want to do something special and out of the ordinary so proposing in front of the castle. It's cute, romantic, special. So cliche? nah.

Anyways! Crew and film people were backstage over by the main parade doors and they had like small cam corders... I didn't see anything elaborate. Maybe it's just for DisneyParks on Youtube?

I don't think it's the same girl. Unless they have two girls that perform in wheelchairs.

Now that we know it was staged, they could've just had Eminem by the castle and Bruno could've flown in on him from the Matterhorn.

Perhaps DL is trying something similar to DLRP with their viral videos on YouTube of Mickey break-dancing and Mickey playing tennis. For all we know, that video that was posted last night on YouTube could've been staged as well.

I am not in the park almost every day, and I think its cliche too. It's cliche because many people do it... the same with proposing in front of snow white's wising well. It might be special to them if the castle means something but it;s most definitely not out of the ordinary. Snow White's wishing well means a lot me my husband and I, but he proposed in a non-cliche location that still meant a lot. (and btw, I mgiht have been a regular but he proposed on his 3rd ever trip to DL)

Re: A Musical Wedding Proposal on Main Street USA

So now as part of the Celebrate promo, Disney is going to be putting on Tony and Tina's Wedding Proposal on a nightly basis? Didn't even know that someone wrote a prequel to Tony and Tina's Wedding.

Awh, that was cute, even if it was fake.
I'd love to be proposed to at Disneyland.

Re: A Musical Wedding Proposal on Main Street USA

my first reaction was this was real... only because my Ex G/F help setup a weeding proposal for a regular guest once on the storybook land boats where the Lead agreed to take a boat out of commission for the day, allow the guest to decorate it, then bring it out for a personal tour of the canal for the proposal as a surprise. Although I wasn't there for it, I saw pictures of that happening... and that wasn't even for a CM.

Now this would be a lot more difficult to setup and would have to be done by a CM, but it could happen. If someone in the entertainment dept were to make this request, would it happen? Prob not, but it could.

After MG explaining all he caught, I too believe this was just for the commercial and faked. Still fun to see though.

When will they perform a staged divorce?

Re: A Musical Wedding Proposal on Main Street USA

So, now that we all know that it was staged, the question of if one could do this comes into play.

Personally, I think it is possible to happen. You just need to choose the right time and day and coordinate with Disney as to what you want to do. Of course, it will be a tough act to make possible, but I surely don't think its impossible.

We've heard of one storybook canal proposal, but others i've heard/seen include:
- using the storybook canal during fireworks for a proposal.
- getting a CM photographer and a small disneyland band to play by the snow white wishing well to play a little tune after the proposal.
