Re: new dragon broke befor the first show.

Now would you want the entire show to debut late or rather have it run this summer without a climactic ending?

Terrible but I have to say perfect example of Murphy's Law.

Now that I think about it, I'm not so inclined to believe the AA lost its head. That sounds very unbelievable, IMO.

I think it's another case of clashing between the practicality of getting the thing to work from the maintenance people and the arrogant premature date setting from the marketing people.

NO!! This is horrible. Well hopefully they can get this fixed ASAP and get the show on the road for the summer. I will still attend the opening show regardless. I would appreciate it if the people with contacts at F! let us all know when the dragon should pop up in the show.

they've had pleeeeeeeeenty of time and planning for this dragon. pixar play and the Celebrate A Street Party expansion were rushed, this was not. To me it's more comparable to why things like the new monorails went wrong(even though the monorails involved building new ones out of the old ones and the dragon was from scratch)

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

I too heard about the head falling off last night during a dress rehearsal from others, they mentioned that unless something happens it wont happen till July...

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

I remember hearing that the old dragon's head caught on fire and had to be replaced before the show opened back in 1992.... is that true?

Maybe it's a curse

You're right.

How the hell the does its head manage to fall off? That's some serious design flaw.

I would rather have the show not debut until every new part of the show is ready for show time. If they run the show early without the dragon I have a feeling that this will cause the dragon to be delayed even more since they would have to work around park hours and when F! is showing. But maybe they can work on it downstairs at anytime, I'm not sure.

Is the vendor Garner Holt? I'm pretty sure that they're overseeing the development the dragon--though installation may fall to another company.

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

As Al Lutz had mentioned, the entertainment department has been known to have the reputation of getting things fixed the last minute. Lets hope that they can get it repaired and ready by Thursday for that press event, if it hasn't been cancelled yet.

They're most likely going to be burning moonlight this week.

Kind of off-topic but.....hows the new Croc doing? I haven't heard anything yet.
