Im just glad the dragon is not a she and from dreamworks. I would wan't to see the lady dragon from shrek in Fantasmic lusting after donkey all the time. Mickey might get confused.

I think someone on here said somewhere around mid-summer. I'm guessing July. But maybe they'll surprise us.

The official comment was "later this Summer" however since duct tape now comes in black it may be "fixed" a little faster! They might get away with showing it and not moving it at the press event... not sure what the plan is actually.

Yeah, stick it everywhere - as long as they aren't the ones paying for it...

Orchard Supply Hardware is notoriously high priced, but a full-size 2" x 60-yard roll of matte black Gaffers Tape was $23 I've spent less on real UL Listed (printed face) "Duct Tape" for ducts.

I still think it's "Gorilla Weld" time, get it to hold for a while - or rig it with chains and iron to make a temporary joint, truck cargo straps, whatever it takes... Then you can bring "Gertrude" up for the Show, but don't turn that head any more than absolutely necessary.

Now that I think about it... in the tech world we would have called the dragon's head falling off an "unknown feature". I think it would be much more realistic if Mickey did his magic thing and the dragon's head fell off! That way there is no doubt... Mickey slayed the dragon! Bonus points if he mimics the Mortal Kombat "fatality" and holds the head up afterward.

How tempting would it be to turn it just enough when Mickey does his magic dance (again assuming Mickey is safely out of range). Yes Mickey... you slayed the dragon... see your magic made her head fall off!. Kids would leave Fantasmic with a new appreciation for Harry Potter!

I was planning on going this evening, but then it was said regular guests weren't gonna be able to see the show...combined with the loss of the dragon...I'm sure I'll catch it sometime this weekend. :\

Even when the Dragon Appears I dont think it will be 100% ready to go. It will probably just work ok and then a few weeks after that it will be the Dragon that they promised...two months earlier.
