So they are beginning to start working heavily on the dragon, even during the day now?

Sure looks that way to me. If the work they are doing down there involves welding or painting or fiberglass resins they almost have to leave it open and rig fans blowing a draft from the basement out the top to purge the fumes

Note they have the green shade cloth rigged over the open trap-door so they get air and shade, and you can't really see in - unless of course you know what you're looking at. But while a human can use various optical tricks like moving your head to "see through the veil" if they would let you get close enough, cameras usually won't work for borscht through a screen like that.

Yes they are working non stop to get the dragon back and performing. lots of work still to do so they are doing what ever it takes to get it done even closing down the front part of the island. expect this to continue from time to time till all is fixed.

Well the news I just got from my source is that WDI has made some major changes to the dragon and in doing so have added alot of weight to it. More weight then the lift can hold. so not only do they have to make and install the new parts on the dragon. But rebuild the lift as well. Good luck Disney. I wouldnt make plans to go see the dragon for awhile.

Ah, that's a shame. They were having balancing issues with the dragon and it wanted to just tip forward (it was designed incorrectly), causing the lift to bind and shake. They decided to add more weight to the back to balance it out, and alas, the lift can't take the extra weight.

That and the new parts for the neck with more safety features so this dose not happen again. All stuff they should have done in the first place. this is WDI doing it the way they would of.

how do you know they had pleeeeeeeeenty of time?

So are all the 'outsourcing' is to blame folks (Seawolf, HMF, etc) ready to eat crow today?

According to Al, it was Disney's fault, not the contractors, why the Dragon broke.

The story of exactly what went wrong with the robotic dragon in the first place is a tricky one, and the information that has fallen into place over the last month now points not to mechanical design flaws or errors in the installation process, but rather how the dragon was being operated by Disney's own people once the outside contractor had installed the robot this past spring.
