Too bad about the new dragon. I do hope the "show will go on" this weekend.
Sure great views are up for grabs, heck, halfway in, but our group likes to go all out when it comes to F! It's either waterfront, or nothing!

Who said anyone was panicking? I mean, I can't speak for everyone else here but I don't think anyone is hyperventilating at the thought of the dragon not working right now.

Aren't we allowed to react to a bit of bad news? Because it is bad news - especially for the people who are die-hard fans of the show and consistently come out to see it. I may not be one of those people, but I am coming to the park on Friday with a friend for her birthday, and I know this is going to bum her out.

You should also realize that all of Disneyland's promotions for the summer have been centered around this brand new dragon AA. With it not working...City Hall will not be pretty. I guess the real people that should panic are the CMs that work there. Quite a tough job.

Did her head fall off? Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell, perhaps.

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

I've heard it'll be Maleficent only for awhile. It'll just be an extra surprise when she goes all dragon in a month. Best of luck to those working on this amazing effect. I'm still going to try and catch the show this month for the new tic toc and eels.

I like that , for I find it rather humorous! ........ and it is also commercialism and marketing. Which is good for California's economy!

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

Take it FWIW, but my buddy who works at Club 31 said that everything seemed to be working just fine. Or at least he did not see or hear anything about the dragon's head falling off. He said he was only in the club until about 2:30 a.m. but up to that point there didn't see to be anything wrong.

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

I Wonder how the imagineers feel right about now. Probably Sh*tting bricks. For me, these unforeseen mishaps and setbacks, especially only days before a big opening, are the real appeal for being a imagineer. I just love these "all or nothing" situations and really cutting it close.

Re: new dragon broke before the first show.

Think realisticly...

IF something happened to the dragon, and Im not here to say whether it did or did not, they dont have an entire week to fix it...

this week there are 2 grad nites. One on wed, and one on thurs. Work cant be done during those nights outside of the pit.

That leaves everything up to being completely ready by Wednesday at sunrise.

I have to agree - I can't remember ever waiting more than 15 minutes for Fantasmic! - any longer and I do a quick run through HM.

And I don't get the whole cold thing - it's June, it's warm.
