AP Birthday Perks

Im sure there has been a thread about this before, but I am going to DLR on the 14th, my Birthday. Ive heard that you get a $69 Disneyland Gift Card, but I am wondering if this is true, and if so how do i go about recieving this card? Also, is there any other perks one may recieve on his/her Birthday at Disneyland with this new promotion?

Sorry if its a repeat

Re: AP Birthday Perks

Austin,

Welcome to Micechat! Yes, if your an AP you can choose to get a $69 Gift Card (the price of a one-day one park ticket). I got one on my birthday in March and I still haven't used all of the $$...yet!

You can go into City Hall on Mainstreet once you get into the park and request your gift card...and of course your Happy Birthday Button!

As far as perks, sometimes cast members will do "little things" to make your birthday special. On my birthday, we at at Cafe Orleans and the entire staff signed a presented me with a birthday card and brought me out a Mickey Shaped beignet with a candle in it!! Made my day!

Hope you have a great birthday and have fun!

Re: AP Birthday Perks

We're taking my grandmother for her Bday on the 15th. we were thinking of getting her the new Summer Fun Pass promotion of the 3day park hopper for SoCal residents.
Do you think they will apply her free bday entry ticket ($69.00) twards an "upgrade" to the Fun Pass? I know they offered it for the 2fer promotion.

We hope so, she'd like to see F! and the ELP.

Re: AP Birthday Perks

Note, the "Alternative Gifts", which includes the Birthday Fun Card are for both Annual Passholders and Paid Multi-Day ParkHopper holders.

As for your choices with something like the Summer FUnPass, or buying a ParkHopper at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths.

If it is your first day, they will give you $69 (if you are 10 or older, $59 for 3 to 9 years old) credit towards any ticket sold at the Ticket Booths, which includes AP's. If you want to take advantage of a SoCal special, such as the Summer Fun Pass, the Birthday person needs to have proof of both their Birthdate, plus that they live in the SoCal area (The zip codes listed on the rules).

If you have already used at least one of the days, and the Birthday is coming up during one of the remaining days (and making sure that it falls with the valid period for the specific ParkHopper). Then they can get the FunCard and use it towards any allowable thing. For example, they could take the Fun Card credit, and use it towards upgrading the ParkHopper towards an AP.

This is a great way for a SoCal to get some summer visits in before their BD (The Fun Card has a 45 day shelf life after first use), and then upgrade to an SoCal AP on the actual date of the Birthday.

If the lines at the ticket booth and City Hall are long, you can also get your Fun Card at Guest Relations in DCA (off to the left as soon as you get through the turnstile). We did that this past Sunday and had no wait at all!

Have a great time and Happy Birthday!!!
