    First look: Tinker Bell float in Electrical Parade at Disney’s California Adventure

    From LA Times staff writer and Funland blogger Brady MacDonald:

    The Electrical Parade marks its return engagement at Disney’s California Adventure on Friday night with Tinker Bell taking over the lead float position from the Blue Fairy. The new Tink float features a magic wand-wielding face-character waving from the basket of a hot-air balloon amid a sea of shimmering emerald green lights.

    The Electrical Parade reboot also includes a return of the mothballed Snow White and Pinocchio floats, upgraded audio of the classic theme song and a sprinkling of “pixie dust” lighting on all the old floats.

    Thanks for the pictures. I am really becoming quite fond of Tinker Bell. She's a great addition to the parades, and the parks.

    The float looks gorgeous and I think they did a great job on it. For sentimental reasons I will definitely miss the Blue Fairy.

    By the way, is that suppose to be Rosetta and Silvermist in the bigger picture?

    It's very well done. I'm glad the float has been constructed in the same manner as the rest of the floats to maintain consistency. And Tink as usual is a looker.

    After Fantasmic's epic dragonfail, and the controversial fireworks show, it looks like Summer Nightastic! finally has a winner.

    I think the float is worthy of leading the parade!

    (I never really liked the rather rotund Blue Fairy)

    I want pics of Snow White and Pinocchio too. A few weeks ago when hurricanefreak posted his video, they weren't quite finished getting pixified.

    One word for the new Tinkerbell unit: BEAUTIFUL! I am getting more anxious to see the Parade now but will wait out the huge crowds this weekend. The pixie pages look bright and deLIGHTful, too!

    I wonder if they released these pictures to salvage the Nightastic promotion and redirect people's attention away from the dragon.
    I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.

    I'm really liking how this looks. I think it will be a great lead float. The lights look good. Can't wait to see the full parade and hear the new music... see how it all turns out.

    i like it but i dont see why the blue fairy still cant be lead i am tired of tink she is everywhere
