    Electrical Parade Viewing

Two quick questions. Where is the best place to see the parade and how long before the show should I come claim my spot?

I've never seen it from DCA before, and actually I haven't seen it since the mid 90's and my boys have NEVER seen it so I really want to get the best experience for it.

    TIA!!

    Re: Electrical Parade Viewing

I enjoyed the view from the far West exit of the Vineyard Room's patio, with the new lighting effects of Mickey's Fun Wheel taking up the slack during the "dark" parts of the parade. ymmv

15 or 20 minutes early should be enough, 1/2 hour if you want to sit on the "curb."
So full of Disney Magic, my eyes are blue.

I heard if you get a table at wine country trattoria you can sit out side and see the parade while you eat! ( so I made reservations for when we go .

Along the railing on the south side of the path in front of the winery. You have the water and railing behind you so that the only way people can crowd you is to come from the side or front. Taller people can set with their back against the railing or rocks while kids can sit in front of parents. Very easy to defend your spot and there are some great restaurants near by to bring a dinner to eat while waiting for the parade.

The area from San Francisco to disabled entrance to the Winery is also good but I like the south side as you can better see the parade coming or going.

I avoid any areas that are wide where people can stand behind you and kick you or form a wall of people who at parade end stampede and walk over anyone sitting in front of them. This happens at Sunshine Plaza and at the entrance to the Wharf.
