When do they ask for proof of residency at purchase or at the park?

In my experience they have only asked me at purchase. I've done the summer fun pass the last two years.

I called Disney yesterday about this subject. They told me if the Vons or distributor did not check for ID, then they would not check at the park. It is the responsibility of the distributor.
