![]() | Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland?(Merged Threads) I saw him on a New Year's Eve during the late '80s. I'm not totally sure what year it was, somewhere around '87-'89. He was by the Matterhorn queue on the Fantasyland side, wearing a blue military jacket, black fedora, sunglasses and white glove, surrounded by kids and a couple bodyguards.* (*This is how I remember it, but I could totally be wrong about the details.) Please share your MJ@DL sightings!

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? Absolutely I do, and I am completely devastated! My intentions were to honor and celebrate him. I'm sorry if you found it in bad form. If that is the consensus, then, Moderators, please delete this thread. Disneyland and Michael always had a special connection. I'm sure it was one of his favorite places in the world. To me, seeing Michael Jackson at Disneyland is a perfect way for me to remember him. I never saw him in concert, but he was the first pop star that I loved, and in my world, that means a whole lot!

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? I saw him when I worked there. He was with his entourage and a kid or two backstage between the cast locker rooms and space mountain. This was in 92 or 93. |

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? I saw him New Year's Eve 1993. We were disembarking Big Thunder and there were security guards all over the place motioning for us to leave the area quickly. Once my group got outside we watched as he and a little boy took over the train for a ride. Yeah, it was a little creepy even then. I'm sorry he's passed away, and was completely shocked about it. Seemed like he was going to live forever. Yet at the same time, I'm afraid that all the surgeries and pain killers may have ravaged his body. Bummer. |

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? The House Michael Jackson was renting for $100,000 a month is on Carolwood. Which is the street Walt Disney had his home and Backyard railroad. Walt's house was torn down and a new home built. Does anybody know IF this is the same property that Walt's house was on??? Just thought with the connection with MJ had with Disney, he just might rent the hose that once stood where Walt's house was. Does anyone know. |

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? I never saw him at Disneyland, but did see him when I was a stagecoach driver at Knott's. It was actually sad. He came in through the front gate with his bodyguards, and was heading in the queue for StageCoach when he was recognized and mobbed. It was so bad that security ushered him out of the park. This was in 1991 and he was there maybe five minutes. I just felt so sorry for him. |

![]() | Re: Have you ever seen Michael Jackson at Disneyland? I know he wasn't too popular with the press and some people, but no one can deny the talent he had or the impact he produced in the 1980's and early 1990's. He practically defined the early 80's culture and I remember growing up and listening to his music as a teenager. To this day it's one of the few, if not only, artists where I can distinctly remember every single song on a CD, let alone ALL his major albums. There's no way to mention the influence his music had on my life but for every brilliant moment in my childhood and teenage years, a song by Michael Jackson probably wasn't too far away from it. He is the only celebrity I can remember that felt like I lost a close relative or something. His death left me in shock and I still can't really fully comprehend that he's dead. He did a lot of good in the world and all the press could do was hound him for it. I couldn't even imagine growing up without Michael Jackson's albums every few years, he was so interwoven with the culture that you just don't have the 1980's and early 90's without him. This is truly one of the saddest losses in recent history and although the entertainment industry has lost many icons over the past couple weeks, none can measure up to the loss of Michael Jackson. I guess the one good thing about it, if there can be any, is that the press can't hound him anymore. Not only is he finally at peace but even the sleaziest media know that kicking a man when he's down is beneath even them. Rest in peace, Michael. You will be missed. |
