    Haunted Mansion Death Certificates

I read this in the WDW forum. Can you ask for a Death Certificate while boarding your Doom Buggie and it will be ready for you as you get off? I have never heard of such a thing, but if so THAT'S REALLY COOL!
I would assume you wouldn't have the opportunity if it were busy and I wouldn't want to make any other guests upset THEY didn't receive anything. Would we ask discreetly?

It's true. Ask the host/hostess when you enter the foyer, and if you're lucky they'll tell you to come back to the front of the HM after your ride and they'll have 'em there waiting for you.

It worked for me and some friends last year after the "Taste" event.

    ^^^^

Yep, we picked up two fresh ones a few months ago. They're on the kids bedroom walls right next to their Mark Twain certificates (and other fine DL collectable stuff).

    Re: Haunted Mansion Death Certificates

I asked for a death certificate today when I was about to board the doom buggie. The CM seemed confused by my request. I asked another one and the same thing happened. So sad.

    Re: Haunted Mansion Death Certificates

BOTH the HM Death Certificates AND the JC maps are intended to be special magic that the CMs can make for random Guests. If there's a little kid who is obviously scared to ride but it trying to be brave, THAT'S who they'll try to give a death certificate to. When, every once in a while, the skipper will pick a kid to help him or her "captain" the boat, they'll give the kid a map at the end of the cruise.

Yes, some CMs don't mind just giving them to whoever asks, but don't be surprised if the person you ask says they don't know what you're talking about. They have a VERY VERY VERY small supply of them (usually about 10 on hand) and try to save them to make magic with instead of just handing them out to every AP.
