Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

It is going to be kind of weird to be sitting in the viewing area before the show starts expecting it to be in front of you like most shows, the it all suddently starts to the right of you.

Here is the offical layout. Which also has the larger sun wheel base.

Good to know! Thanks! It seems that the "gap" between the Fun Wheel and the WoC fountains is larger than I thought. From what I understand, they're still planning on closing down the Fun Wheel during the show, however......right? C'mon, the guests can handle a bit of mist and smoke...

I guess it would depend on where you're sitting/standing.

I could be wrong, but I thought there has been a lot of discussion about "closing rides" on the Pier during the show. I thought that the Fun Wheel was one of them. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

Let me rephrase that:

It will be weird for the show to start at a different angle than straight in front of you. Yes, the left side of the viewing area (zephyr side) will be in front of the platform, but the show is angled away from that point.

I know, I'm confusing.

It would replace the area of Zephyr and extend further out.

As for a second if the new WOC allowed it i would replace Jumpin Jellyfish with a que that takes you to the lake shore and you would board water vessels and travel the water area like the ride in Tokyo Disney Sea.

For maliboomer i would take it out and provide a nice gazzebo location and maybe a little pool area with a lake that attaches it to the main lagoon and a new bridge that would provide access to TSMM and Screamin' and the games. Maybe a king triton statue since his carasouel is nearby.

As for the update by Master Gracey...thank you very much sounds excitting cant wait to see! And cant wait to ride TOT late at night!
THere were a lot of cool discussions and ideas going on here a while back if you want to check them out.

Creative Ideas for a New PP Attraction????

If you look back at the first post, you'll see that it opens on December 18.

1. I believe that I read somewhere that the (LM) is due to have the same ride length as the Haunted Mansion. However, based on the space provided from the former Golden Dreams Theater this does not seem possible. I was under the impression that a portion of the Redwood Creek play area was to be used for the (LM) and that appears not to be so.
2. Does anyone know how many show scenes are expected to be in this ride?
TLM is using much more space than the Golden Dreams theater, hence the reason they demolished it.

Notice how the new posts in the foreground resemble the ones in the background. Obviously, we're talking about a pier with wooden posts. But the ones in the back also have the vertical cuts in them, though they go a different direction.

Another from recursivemacro...

What are those buildings east of Souvenir 66 and west of the old Golden Dreams, up against the back wall? Do they look like a chiller plant? Or are they simple support buildings? If they're a chiller plant, they may remain. Otherwise, I wonder if they'll be demoed soon.

I don't see these as being a pier. A pier would need two rows of post. But on the other hand, I have no idea what It is.
