As for what this structure is... because of its height and width, it's looking more like a parade building to me. And it looks like there are foundations extending further south, meaning the building may be long as well. Its width and center steel support makes me think it may support two parades at once, so they could get rid of both parade buildings over at PP.

Or maybe it's just a big support building.
It's the Red Car Roundhouse. It's. Big fleet of cars.
The parade building will be parallel to Harbor Blvd.

It's kind of sad that it's come to that if it's true, but I'm definitely not complaining.
Personally, I wouldn't want AAs in GRR. Some little kids are scared by the rapids being called, "Grizzly River Rapids" and it sure wouldn't help if a gigantic, lifelike bear standing on his two legs jumped out and growled at the kid.
I think it's supposed to be a more family friendly ride, so the cartoonish bear kind of eases kids from the name, but it would be better off without it either way. I know this for a fact because there was a little kid I was riding with on single rider, talking about how the bear name scared him. He was flipping out, but in the end he had a great time and said, "There were no bears! Yay!". I don't know, just my $.02.

I agree with taking away the extreme sports look, it's kind of unappealing. The National Park idea would still be in keeping with the era, but keeping the ride as well.

It would be better like that, but no extreme sports please...
I think realistic bears would be too... I don't know the word, scary? For kids.

Seems to me like they're actually committing to these projects, so I hope so too.

Thanks MG for the trackers!
Well it gives the movie a year to set in and make people long more for the area to open up! It'll build up the excitement.

with the development of Buana Vista Street
and Carsland.
Couldn't have put it any better.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

I doubt they will do away with DCA parades. They could easily travel the parade route then at night after the parade drive them back. Currently there is lots of room for some sort of parade if they are careful.

I think they need to get rid of the whitewater canoeing.

The big building could be for the red cars or the parades but I would look at location to see which would be more feasible. The building would have to allow some overhead room for repairs and maintenance. They could also build an extra tall round house and put in offices upstairs. Where are they going to store stuff needed for the ride including stuff to repair and maintain the vehicles and spare parts like tires. Why not put some offices and/or storage in the building?

Could someone please explain where this new building is exactly? I can't figure out where in the Timon lot it is from the photos. An aerial photo could be handy.

Thanks.

Al Lutz is reporting today that this building on the edge of the Timon Lot will be a maintenance and administrative support building.

I think that some Lifelike, comical bears.... far enough away from the ride vehicles and maybe some other little critters crawling around like BTMRR would be fine...

It would be to much of an inconvenience
to have a parade with all the projects
being constructed.

There is a reason why the Electrical Parade
is returing home across the esplanade next year.

Is this a guarantee? If it is I'm happy. Does that mean they will change the lights back to say Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade?

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

There have been credible sources
indicating that that Electrical Parade
will in fact be returning to Main Street.

As for the name change, it seems feasible.
Especially since several floats if not all will
be receiving enhancements once the parade
makes its journey back to Disneyland.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

Habitually, yes.

However at this time it is only
based on mere speculation.

This is off topic but,
The new parade is entitled the World of Wonder(s).

It is suppose to be more elaborate then
the Parade of Dreams and will help
perpetuate the celebration for Disneyland's 55th
Anniversary.

Again, only a rumor at this time.

Re: Disney's California Adventure Project Tracker VI

Just to clarify, The parade building right behind Screaming houses Pixar Play, HSM, Eliot the Dragon, and Mickey's Trick or Treat props. The other one houses DEP. Both these buildings are HUGE, but it looks like the one being built right now looks EVEN bigger!

And yes for the one hundreth time, the lighthouses will be behind the jets in front of Mickey's Fun Wheel. There will be six, each with a slightly different design. Not only that, but projecting an image on the screens from the front gives VERY blurry images. From the back, it's a lot clearer. And to make it even more clear and crip, each lighthouse will house 2 projections. There will be 2 exact images projected on the screens so it's brighter and crisper.

That's a good point. They should also get rid of the AA's in Jungle Cruise. Lions, tigers, rhinos? Waaaaay too scary for kids.

And it's not like Grizzly has a height requirement or something that would otherwise screen out the youngest of children, unlike Jungle Cruise...
