Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

Just saw video of MK's show for this year, and OMG!!! They dared to use MULTI-COLORED fireworks in many different parts of the show, even after last night's atrocity of multi-colored fireworks appearing in a Patriotic show at DL. Oh the shame!!! The horror!! George Washington must be rolling in his grave. Somebody call Dateline....this is big news!

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I think the fireworks are good and I'm very grateful that they put on a patriotic show on multiple nights this year, but what I don't like about this whole thing is that TDA decided to keep this, as Al put it, "dirty little secret" from us. To me, that's not cool.

Whatever happened to being upfront and honest?

They probably figured no one would care because it's not a big deal, they likely never even noticed there was a situation. Also, there is no situation beyond a couple disney websites who are within earshot of senor lutz.

Who knows. A little extra honesty and clarification from Disney would certainly be welcomed. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that not all fireworks shows this Fourth of July weekend are created equal.

The assertion that Disney wasn't aware of the situation is clearly false. That Disney would believe that their audience doesn't care is discouraging but seems to be increasingly true.

I'm sure they were sitting there counting their money and evilly laughing about how they were crushing peoples dreams over this.

The motivation, somewhere, was money. They used left over Remember shells instead of ordering four days worth of specialty custom ordered shells, and they edited four minutes out of the show.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I would like to go on the 4th but due to other outings for the day thats why I went on the 2nd and was told when I called the park after reading the update when Al informed the boards that the shows on the 2,3,5 would be different on the 4th so I called the park prior to arrival and was told that all 4 nights were the same with no differences. I just had to see it for my self.

After watching the videos from last night I came down to the conclusion that the show really was not that bad I guess I was just bummed that it was not the true show.

All right folks, please remember everyone has a right to post their opinion about the subject, but does not have a right to attack a poster about their opinion...let's keep on topic here. Thank you!

This is exactly where all the confusion began.

Look….the first few pages of this thread were complaints about the reuse of pyro from RDCT. I was ranting about that when suddenly the tide turned and arguments came about the show being different from what is going to presented on the 4th, hence all the confusion. So we were arguing two entirely different topics of the show.
If you ask me, the people that put up with the crowds on the 4th deserve the extra few minutes (and probably the extra pyro) then the guests purposely trying to beat the crowds on the other days.
Regardless of everything, it’s still a fireworks show, it has fireworks, and it celebrates America. You can’t say this disrespects America, as all it is a fireworks show in its gratitude.
Disney has the right to do w/e they wish with their entertainment offerings. If they want to save a few mins. of a show to present the whole shebang on America’s actual independence day, so be it. They have the same right to cancel any show or part of it for any reason on the day of its presentation.
My point being, sure Disney mentioned they will be presenting the 4th of July show on the 2, 3, and 5th, but they never guaranteed or promised it being the same show. Same thing for any other show. Sure they have written down the show will present tonight, but can be canceled or modified in any way for any reason.
Another perfect example is Fantasmic, sure they will put on the show, but did they promise a dragon for tonight’s viewing? It had to be scratched from the show so a new idea filled its place. It doesn’t always have to be a technical reason why a show can be cancelled or modified, it’s solely up to the presenters discretion.
So let’s just end this, everyone just enjoy the show for what it is and it’s celebration towards our independence. Happy 4th everyone…

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I ate at Granvilles REstaurant in DHL. I was heading south and got to see lots of the fireworks. For the whiners I do not care about the reusing of fireworks from prior shows. It was awesome and amazing and stupendous and marvelous. I was going toward the hotel so I missed the ending but like wow that was awesome from 3 miles away and then right next to the park.

I have had hamburgers before but i eat them over and over again. I have had filet mignon before but I had some tonight. Just because something is old or something we have had before does not mean it is not a good thing.

WOW WHAT AWESOME FIREWORKS.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I guess I don't understand how we're all complaining about these fireworks not being the same as the ones on the 4th, when the 4th hasn't even happened yet. We're just basing the outrage on what someone has said, rather than actual evidence.

Disney promoted a patriotic fireworks display, from everything I can tell, they have followed through on that.
