Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I guess I don't understand how we're all complaining about these fireworks not being the same as the ones on the 4th, when the 4th hasn't even happened yet. We're just basing the outrage on what someone has said, rather than actual evidence.

Disney promoted a patriotic fireworks display, from everything I can tell, they have followed through on that.

Excellent point if I do say so myself.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

It is the birthday of our country so I am happy to have celebrated last night a bit early. I loved the fireworks and it was a lovely tribute to America which was founded by people who marched to the beat of a different drummer. All them colours have meaning to America in some way.

On my birthday I will be happy to have pie, cookies or ice cream instead of a 7 tiered birthday cake as long as I am celebrating with friends. America is the land of the free who are free to be a tad bit dfferent.

No - they just called it the same exact thing. That brings an expectation in any reasonable person. They don't advertise POD and then show Celebrate this and go ... hey, its still a parade!

Apple's and Oranges. Your example is how the show could be modified to accommodate variances. This isn't an accommodation, this is by design from the start. One also just has to look at the claim the show on the 4th is 50% longer then the other show. That's not even 'lets give the people on the 4th a little umph...' 50% longer show is significant.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

According to everyone, it's a 12min. show, but only 9mins. of that are presented on non-4th days. You call 3mins. 50%???
Personally, I'm so so so sorry if you missed Yankee Doodle, or w/e is scratched out of the show, but us arguing is getting no where. You think you're right, I think I'm right, we are never going to change each other minds....
We are never know until tonight what has changed and what percentage has been exiled.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I based my number on 9mins vs 13 which is what I thought I saw before. 4 minutes of 9 minutes = 44%.. so 50% rounded up. So a 13min show would be 44% more show.

Even at 12minutes.. that's 33% more show.

I'm pretty sure you mean 4 minutes of 13 minutes? Which is ~30%.

If you do 4 minutes of 9 minutes, that means you only saw 5 minutes of the 9 min. show. But in our case, were arguing what is cut from the full 13 min. show, not 9.

No.. when you are adding to something.. its a percentage of what you started with.

50% more on a 16oz bottle... means you get a 24oz bottle.

50% less on a 24oz bottle is a 12oz bottle.

It's always a matter of what you are comparing. The full 4th show is 44% more show runtime.

I never argued what was cut - my post was specifically the full show was MORE then what the other show was - hence my reference.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

The full show tonight is supposed to be 13 minutes long. So basically the same length as Magical is.

Even as Al said, the show tonight will have custom shells, not left over Remember shells. I bet you no one will be complaining about tonight's show.

Or else the same thing will happen like last year. Going half ways in to the 4th of July firework show.
Due to high winds the 4th of July fireworks have been cancel.
I wonder how the capacity will be today.
Keep us updated.
