Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

Yes, the finale was a bit of a let-down, especially when I was there in 2007 and was blown away with the amount of stuff they shot into the air at one time and it lasted way longer. This one was basically the finale from Remember, with those shells from Believe..In Holiday Magic added on top in red, white and blue. Hope this is not a permanent change with this 4th of July show. Since last year's show stopped before the finale, there's no way to compare yet.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I was thinking that Disneyland was not prepared for the this. If you compare the finale at Walt Disney World theirs is MASSIVE

Wow! Our hometown (Vista, CA) Fireworks finally lasted a good 30+ seconds and was WAY larger than theirs. I'm suprised! From this video it looks like they had maybe 15 seconds of carnage.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I was at the show last night, and all I can say is WOW! It was an amazing show and gave me goosebumps. The music was inspirational and the fireworks spectacular. Maybe I'm naive, but to be honest, I don't see how it could have been any more amazing.

And, I think we clocked it in somewhere over 14 mins.

I came out of the movies from century theatres which is behind angel stadium at katella. and at the same time disneyland fireworks came out as well. I saw both sides of fireworks lol. the angels fireworks lasted a few more minutes than disneylands. it lasted about 15 or 16 mins or so.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

I don't know a whole lot about what leftover shells mean, nor do I really pay attention for that kind of stuff, but I saw the show last night and I thought it was really good. It could have been better I imagine, but it was probably better than 99% of Fourth of July shows I've seen in my lifetime. The music was nice as I thought they included some unexpected but very American selections that suit the show just fine. The finale was great as well. I clocked the show at just around 14 minutes in length. Since I didn't see previous shows I don't know how it might have been different, but I do know that I enjoyed it.

DL and DCA as a whole were very light on crowds throughout the day. We were pretty surprised. I got off from work at 12 and we got to the park around 2. There were about four cars in front of us when we got to Micky and Friends. And then when we got to the Donald level of the structure it was completely empty, as if it had just been opened. At DCA, I had never gotten on Soarin', CA Screamin', or Tower of Terror as fast as I did yesterday. And although Disneyland was somewhat busier, the waits weren't all that long either except for Splash Mountain, which was like 85 minutes (it was a hot day after all). But by around seven or so the Hub was already full of people, and Main Street filled up quickly shortly thereafter. We got a got a pretty good view from about the middle of Main Street. So all-in-all it was a great day to be in the parks.

Re: Disneys July 4th Weekend Fireworks

Thanks for posting the videos!

There was definitely more fireworks on the 4th than the previous shows. Awesome!
