Why do alot of people want a Wall-E attraction?
"A vista into a world of wondrous ideas, signifying man's achievements.... A step into the future with predictions of constructive things to come. Tomorrow offers new frontiers in science, adventure, and ideals, the atomic age, the challenge of outer space and the hope for a peaceful and unified world."
- Walt Disney's Tomorrowland Dedication Speech - July 17, 1955
How does the story and plot of Wall-E fit into that dedication? Although the film ends with humanity relearning to live with the earth the basic idea presented in the film is that humanity is all about products and commercialism and that we waste away all our resources. Do we really need an attraction tied into a film that shows us as being fat and lazy? What kind of outlook on the future is that?
if anything is to become of Wall-E I think they should make a street robot that can interact with guests... like the Mobile Muppet Lab.
