4th of July - Disneyland, the place where people weren't

    Some pictures from the 4th.

    Really?

    Some colors of the day.

The new ships on Peter Pan.

It's lunch time, where is everybody?

Even the Corndog Cart is empty!!

    So's the hub.

Billy Hill wished a Happy Fourth of July to the family from the UK

    Disney Crawfish

    His destination?

Over at DCA it was even less crowded. I have never seen TSMM like this

And a great fireworks show to finish the day.

Yeah the crowds were basically non existent until late afternoon which I'm not complaining . But it was a pleasant surprise cosidering I was expecting a huge crowd with long lines all day.

Hmm, this economy thing is worse than even Biden thinks now. Days blocking out all but PAPs might have the lightest crowds all summer. Don't tell anyone wioth a summer 3-day pass, though.

Those flowers are so cute! I keep debating whether I should upgrade my AP or not, but if it continues to be such light crowds this summer, I think I might have to!

Agreed! When I saw the gates at about 10:30, my first thought was "wth?" I walked in expecting more people inside but there wasn't any crowd really to speak of. I made my way around the park for a little bit as was still amazed. I got a call from my friend asking for a ride to the parks and even she was surprised. I think we got on Tower about 5 times in an hour on Saturday as well. It's odd to see the park that empty during the Summer. *wishes for more Summer holiday blockout days* <.<

TSMM managed to get to a 0 minute wait at times. Empty cars were sent out while the grouper CM was just waiting for guests.

Chairman Wow. Now I wish I had gone!

...although all the grilled meat I had was certainly delicious.

Anders and I got there at 12 noon and were pleasantly surprised as we entered the parking structure to find only 3 cars ahead of us to get in! Our shock deepended throughout the day as virtually every ride we went on (except Space Mountain after fireworks) was a walk-on. No joke! In DCA, we did CA Screamin, ToT, TSMM, the Sun Wheel and Soarin Over CA in the span of 2 hours (including a Cove Bar break.) It was incredible. We had really expected crazy crowds and not to get on many rides. Where was everyone?!

People were afraid of the insane crowds that might have came. If you also noticed this wasn't just Disneyland that was empty, Southern California in general was empty, everyone traveled away for the weekend.
