Re: Is Snow White's Scary Adventure too scary???

When I first started going to the parks regularly, this ride used to scare me when the Old Hag comes out from underneath the bridge with the poison apple. But since then, I've gotten used to it to the point where I get disappointed. It's completely carnival style dark ride design in the forest when the lights are on! Heck, you can see the flaws in it even when you're not being evac'd.

It is so scary!!! I hate those trees!!!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I hate myself for getting that.

But I must agree, Pinocchio wins in the scary department with that creepy whale popping out at you. I swear it's the only ride at Disneyland that makes me scream.

Re: Is Snow White's Scary Adventure too scary???

My 7 year-old daughter is freaked out by the dark rides that have thunder sounds and lightning effects. Soooo that means my wife and I get to take turns going on Haunted Mansion, Pirates and Snow White by ourselves.

I think Snow White in DL is a little scary for small kids, especially since you don't really see Snow White. In WDW they show enough of Snow White that it isn't all doom and gloom.

The abrupt "Happily Ever After" mural ending doesn't help much either.

I would say it depends on the individual. When Tinkmomma and I took the kids on Snow White they were terrified. They were also afraid of Pinocchio. I would probably just assume it is "our kids" except that the lines for both Snow and Pinocchio are always noticeably shorter. Out of the Fantasyland attractions, they are definately the scariest.

AHHH!! the trees!!! I had re-occurring nightmares of walking tree's like those when I was younger. I would be walking in a dark forest, and I would see something move quickly off in the distance, then the tree would come up behind me and get me. I would try to run away but it always caught up. Anyways, yeah I think that part of the ride is scary.

The original version sounds like it was far more fun, from the current version. I would like to see it return. I say that this ride attraction should be updated as it were,to incorporate more creepiness into it (From the past) with modern technology. Now that combination could be awesome.

Re: Is Snow White's Scary Adventure too scary???

Snow White's Scary Adventures ain't' scary at all. It is only has a creepy atmosphere, pretty gloomy theme, and the evil queen/witch following you through out the ride forcing the guests to eat her poison apples and until she gets struck by lightning in the end. I like it, but the dark ride in technology is okay.

Try riding the one in Tokyo, where she's hiding behind the exit of Snow Whites house ready to scare the living daylights out of you...

But yeah as a Kid I never really liked the whole, looking in the mirror and then turning around to reveal that thing.

But now I see it as sort of tame.
