Disneyland Halloween Fireworks + Promotion '09

With Al's latest report on the future of Disneyland I can't help but try to imagine this wonderful idea beginning to take shape

If indeed Disneyland will present a halloween fireworks spectacular, will this mean the return of Hub pyro for a more bone chilling effect?

I would love to see the castle fire implemented in different ways. I just hope it won't turn into a "Not So Scary" fireworks show.

Perhaps this show will start in a dark state of mind. How awesome would that be? Instead of tinkerbell we'd get... ummm... *tries to think of flying villains*

I would also like to see the castle night time lighting to be changed to purple and orange (similar to the lakers castle) for the Halloween promotion!

It's little things like this which can make the Holiday at Disney that much more Magical!

Except Disney has already told us that Remember is returning in the fall, so I would not put much weight on that rumor.

I would like a darker style show, but people might complain since they expect to come to Disneyland and see cheery happy joy joy.

This is the most likely. How about a family friendly character like Witch Hazel from the Donald "Trick or Treat" short?

i dont think enough kids know who that is ^^ it would just be another witch flying around. i think spread the halloween decor throughout other rides like a jack o lanteren on splash somewhere..but all in good taste,such rides as POTC dont need a halloween theme.. there already dressed as pirates

If I had my way, Disney would not be so family-friendly. Of course, I tend to go beyond logical reasoning and reality, but it's nice to imagine.

I could go into EVERY nit-picking detail of how I'd revamp DLR, from themed lands to the color of the flowers, but it's far too late and my post would be 3 pages long. Maybe on another day.

Like I said, Disney would not "Disney"...it would be like a legitamate Halloween extravaganza, with gore and special effects and eerie soundscapes - the whole 9 yards, and then some.

Zero anyone but yeah more spooks and Huanted Mansion. Al also mentioned that Magical might run weekends till Halloween but someone at the park told me Remember will return shortly in September

I would love it if they moved the special ticket event to Disneyland. The thing a DCA is getting kind of blah.

Imagine Chernabog flying over the castle, waving his hands over Main Street, causing fireworks to come up all around the crowd and ghost noises similar to the surround sound effect Fantasmic has. That would be amazing. There are all sorts of awesome stuff they could do for Halloween. But, considering recent events, they'll probably just go with a rehash of the not-so-dazzling Hallowishes.

If only they'd bring back the Tower of Terror storytelling they had in the inaugural year of HalloweenTime... that was such a Disney touch... and it was taken away for that lame Candy Corn Acres thing. DCA needs a little bit more to do for Halloween if Disneyland's getting two new additions, and the TOT storytelling would be pretty easy to put back, since all they needed were actors and lighting.

Oh, and if I had a choice of characters for Tink's wire, I think Tink in a with outfit or Zero from Nightmare Before Christmas would be excellent choices for the wire.... I just don't know where the music cue could be, since Hallowishes in Walt Disney World doesn't use the wire during Halloween.
